A Peoria homeowner found a baby rattlesnake coiled beside his front door. When he tried to catch it himself, the little snake escaped upward into a gap in the overhang of the home and disappeared completely from view.
He called Marissa the following day to ask what he could do. With the snake hidden inside the gap, water was really the only practical way to encourage it back out. He sprayed some water into the space, and shortly afterward, the baby rattlesnake emerged. This time he left the catching to us.
The home is in a newly developed area with a desert hillside directly across the street and open desert beyond it. With very little cover available in the backyard, the protected gap in the overhang had apparently looked like a pretty good hiding place to a very small rattlesnake.
Marissa safely captured the snake and removed it from the property.
