Constuction Can Make Rattlesnake Encounters

A glance out the back door caught a surprise visitor on the patio. This Western Diamondback Rattlesnake was likely disturbed by nearby construction, which had just deleted the habitat that it was using to hibernate. Marissa was called out to capture the snake and move it to a better spot that is neither a patio or crawling with bulldozers and survey tape.

Hibernating Rattlesnake

A homeowner discovered a visitor while taking out the trash. The Western Diamondback Rattlesnake became defensive and rattled, and she ran inside to call us. Marissa found the snake in its hibernation spot – as usual, the pool pump area. It was relocated to a suitable replacement to continue its winter behavior.
