Rattlesnake in a Backyard Garden

Rattlesnake in a Backyard Garden

Notes from Cheyenne from a recent relocation: The western diamondback was coiled up in the backyard underneath a tree. The homeowner had been doing yard work and almost stepped on it. They did not seem interested in snake fencing, but were advised to wear boots when doing yard work instead of flip flops, and to trim up the bushes so the base of the plant can be seen. The snake was taken to a nearby wash and released into a pack rat midden.
