A pair of Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes courting at the base of an agave back in October. The homeowner had seen one a few days prior, but when it became clear that it wasn’t going anywhere … and a second rattlesnake, a call was made.

This little Sonoran Gophersnake was called in as a rattlesnake. It happens, and you can see why its easy for someone to make that mistake. Fortunately, the little guy is harmless, and the homeowner got a little lesson in the local wildlife.
