This homeowner contacted us after noticing her dog barking at something in the backyard. When she stepped outside to investigate, she discovered a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake coiled in the corner of the yard. Thankfully, the dog alerted her to the unwelcome visitor and was never bitten despite being quick to react to the snake’s presence.
After a quick web search, she gave us a call and Josh was on the road within minutes. By the time he arrived, the snake had already moved from its original location. After a careful inspection of the yard, Josh decided to check beneath a storage cabinet filled with gardening tools. One by one, he carefully removed the lower drawers until he finally located the snake coiled in a dark, cool corner beneath one of the shelves.
Josh safely secured the snake in a bucket and relocated it to a nearby wash, releasing it into a deep rodent den within its estimated home range.
