On January 8, a cleaning crew was visiting a home near Tucson and noticed a small Western Diamondback Rattlesnake hiding out behind a metal panel. Dave went out to capture it, and knew to search the garage for others, as winter-time rattlesnake sightings are often not single-snake events. Sure enough, he found another as well. He then relocated them to a carefully selected site that has the qualities necessary to be a replacement den to spend the rest of the winter safely.
