The homeowner called about a Speckled Rattlesnake coiled in the corner by the front door. By the time Marissa arrived, the snake had begun to move but was still right at the entry. With the home sitting on South Mountain Preserve and no fence separating it from open desert, encounters like this are always a possibility. Marissa safely removed the snake and released it into suitable habitat within its estimated home range on the preserve.
