A homeowner called early in the morning after noticing a Speckled Rattlesnake that had been hanging around outside the front gate since the night before. Their home is already protected with Rattlesnake Solutions fencing, and in this case it did exactly what it was supposed to do. The snake remained outside the rattlesnake fenced gate and never made it onto the protected property.
When Alivia arrived, the rattlesnake was tucked into a corner behind a planter. As the capture began, it slipped deep into a narrow gap behind the home’s facade that the homeowners didn’t even know existed. After a long wait, the snake finally emerged and the relocation could be completed safely.
The home sits right against the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, where natural habitat now meets dense development. The rattlesnake was released back within its native home range into deep cover in a wash, where it could continue life away from homes and people.
