This tiny little Western Diamondback was found by homeowners taking shelter under their trash cans on trash day. I came out to assist in relocating it. I was surprised by how small it was for the time of year but noticed some older healing injuries near its neck. Potentially the cause of missing a few meals when it was time to be getting some size on it. I released the young rattlesnake into an area full of little lizards deep cover and lots of natural resources far from any buildings and people within its home range in hopes this little baby can catch up and have a more successful future. – Alivia
