The home has a view fence that backs up to a desert area. There was also some stacked bricks near by the snake could have been under at some point.

She got the dogs in and watched the snake slither to the corner of the yard under some stuff by a small shed. They had a rattlesnake in their back yard last week and they just put it over the back fence. They said it didn’t look like the same snake. Behind the home there was a big desert drainage area.

They have our fencing and I couldnt find a spot the snake came in through. The yard is very well-kept. There was a rodent hole going under a larger rock that the snake may have been hanging out under since it’s been cold, but there really weren’t many spots the snake could go.

The home was on a desert hillside. Earlier in the day they had their septic pumped and they had to dig up stuff and clear out brush. I’m not sure the snake was near there but there was lots of little places this snake could have been for winter.

1:30 AM		 Cave Creek 85331 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Received a call regarding rattlesnake inside of a garage. Arrived at property and was greeted by customer and daughter who were watching the snake with garage door open. Noted a juvenile atrox in corner nearest garage door entrance. Snake was rattling but it was not very loud. Used tongs to capture snake. Snake struck at tongs but I was able to bucket it without further incident. Inspected garage afterward and found no other snakes or signs of snake activity. I did note that the garage seal nearest to where the snake was seemed to be coming off and I suspect this is where the snake entered. I addressed this with customer. Customer has desert wash that runs both north and west of the neighborhood.

4:30 PM		 Queen Creek 85142 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was going into her courtyard when she heard a rattle and saw the neonate rattlesnake in a water drain that was in the walk way. I was able to flood the snake out. Her garage doors were right by this spot and neither one was sealed good so I'm thinking the snake had been in the garage for winter. The area is well developed but there is a big desert wash behind the home that goes on a few miles but all surrounded by homes.

A rock pile in the back of the property was pointed out as a potential concern, and a small gopher snake was found but left alone. The homeowner seemed to want to fence off their brick wall backyard with a few gates as access points.

7:00 PM		 Phoenix 85045 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The snake was half under a bucket by the back yard gate. The homeowner went to open the gate when she saw it. On the side of the home there was a rocky drainage which is where I think the snake had been hanging out. Her yard didn’t have much for deep cover unless it had been in the garage which was sealed pretty well. The home had a view fence and one gate. The home had a South Mountain Preserve across the street.

The garage had some missing weatherstripping in the corners. The home backed up to a golf course and had lots of desert beyond that. They have a view fence and a gated courtyard.

2:30 PM		 Phoenix 85050 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was getting a package when the delivery driver spotted the baby rattlesnake coiled up by the front door. The courtyard had bricks for flooring and some up against the house weren’t sealed that well. The snake could have potentially been hibernating there, or their garage just around the corner had big gaps in the corners. Across the street they had a drainage area that had a bunch of stacked rocks which also would have provided a nice warm spot for winter. Hard to say for sure where it had been it was very small still.

11:00 AM		 Scottsdale 85260 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This was at a business center in the under ground parking garage. Someone had saw the snake but then they lost sight of it. I found the snake not far from where they saw it just coiled in the corner. It was pretty cold in this parking garage. There were gaps that separated the wall and cement floor that possibly could have been a place the snake was. There were also some storage rooms nearby. They had just received a bunch of desert trees that were placed right by this area that the snake could have been transported in. It was a healthy older adult and the area I got it in was extremely populated.

It then went under the near by refrigerator. Last week they found this snake in there garage and they put it out in the front yard. The seals on the garage door are bad and the snake came back in without them knowing. The home has a lot of deserts right behind it.

I dismantled the rock pile and only found one snake, likely that it had overwintered in it. The homeowner seemed interested in a fencing referral; they have an open fence along the desert in their small fenced-in yard.

10:30 AM		 Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Resident first saw a coiled western diamondback, rattlesnake, sitting in a wet patch of ground near a garage. After discussion, I learned that this is used for long-term storage by the property owner. Suspected to be a winter den. I went out to investigate and found snake tracks and shed skin from a young western diamondback that matched the description and photographs from the resident. Search the garage, found no additional snakes, found the snake coiled in filtered light at the base of a bush near the water source. Captured and advised that the property owner be contacted to allow entry to the closed garage to search for additional snakes.

6:00 PM		 Mesa 85207 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The gentleman was doing his rounds checking the bathrooms when the baby rattlesnake rattled at him. It was in the entryway on the way to the restrooms. This was at a public park that had soccer fields and other fields. There once was desert across the street but it was all flattened with tractors in it ready to be built up. The building the snake was in had a storage area with a garage type door which is where I think the snake had been hibernating. The little snake had a bolus also.

This garage had a lot of stuff in it and wasn’t being used. The snake was likely there all winter the snake was in the corner of the garage. After a brief check of the cluttered garage we saw no other snake.

It was probably living in the corner of the yard brumating under his bushes for the winter. I checked the rest of the backyard and no other snakes were found. Homeownwe has cement fence with gaps by gate. They are interested in snake fence quote. She lives very close to a preserve.

The husband tried to make it move but it just rattled and stayed put. The garage had gaps in it so it may have been staying there over the winter. The home had a drainage next to it that led to the bigger piece of desert.

Where the turf met up with the block wall there was an area that was indented. They assumed it was under there. I pulled back the turf to discover a rattlesnake and a bloody squirrel. The squirrel was still alive but was on its way out so I put it with the snake. After looking around I believe the snake may have been hibernating in a near by hot tub and smelt out the rodent that had a hole under the turf. The home backs up to desert and has a view fence with high block bottom.
