A homeowner was leaving the house when they noticed a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake coiled beside a leaking air conditioning unit. Having found rattlesnakes on the property multiple times in the past, they gave us a call. After safely securing the first snake, Tanner offered to inspect the surrounding area and quickly discovered a second Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, a potentially gravid female, hidden less than five feet away. Both snakes were safely relocated to suitable habitat within their estimated home range, highlighting why it’s always worth taking a careful look around after finding the first rattlesnake.
