From CJ on our internal chat: “Sneaky late night atrox [Western Diamondback Rattlesnake]. When I arrived the customer said they saw the snake dip below the window from which they were watching but didn’t see it leave the area. This one crawled up a drainage pipe which led to the backyard and had a deep hole situated between the stucco wall and an old concrete fountain fixture that was placed there. After scouring the entire property I decided to flood the hole as a last ditch attempt. After several minutes I noticed its head peak out from behind the fountain. It crawled out slowly and took a big drink of water before I captured it and took him to some public land. Found him a new home in a pack rat mound underneath a big mesquite with signs of rodent activity. It was a very sweet and mellow snake. North Scottsdale. “
