Rattlesnake Hiding Near A Drip System

This Western Diamondback Rattlesnake was discovered by a landscaper as it sheltered in the shade. On this particular day, the temperature was above 105˚F, making this drip system a perfect situation for any small animal that might find it. The homeowner very much wanted to make sure the snake was relocated safely. It was taken to a packrat midden at the edge of a wash at the north end of the property, where Gary released it directly into cover.
