Rattlesnake Den In The Basement

Rattlesnake Den In The Basement

This is always fun. A Western Diamondback Rattlesnake was spotted on a high shelf in a basement storage room in Tonopah. The electrician who discovered it went down there to fix something and heard the rattle as soon as he opened the door, and broke the world “leave the basement” record. The door to the room wasn’t sealed well from the outside, leaving an ideal rattlesnake winter den for this animal to take advantage of.

Marissa captured the snake and moved it to carefully selected replacement hibernacula.
