The homeowner had been seeing this Western Diamondback Rattlesnake in her garden for several days and noticed that it really hadn’t moved much at all. She gave it about five days to leave on its own before deciding it was time to have it relocated.
When Marissa arrived, it was pretty easy to see why the rattlesnake didn’t want to leave. The elevated garden was in a nice shady area and was being watered regularly by the sprinkler system. Between the shade, moisture, and cover, the snake had found a comfortable little spot with everything it needed.
The Cave Creek property had a view fence backing up to desert habitat, along with a large drainage that connected to a nearby preserve, so there was plenty of suitable habitat beyond the yard.
