This Western Diamondback Rattlesnake was found in this colorful corner in mid November, almost certainly near its selected winter home. Sometimes, a snake can be unable to get to one, however. Construction displacement and imprecise relocations by fire departments can be significant challenges to rattlesnakes during the winter months. Thankfully, Dave was called out to help this one get to a good spot before it got cold(ish).
