This Western Diamondback Rattlesnake was found using the garage shelves as a winter den in Rio Verde. This is quite common during the cooler months in Arizona. The snake was moved to a spot that meets all of the criteria for safe winter survival, where there very well may have been other rattlesnakes hiding out under the surface.
