Phoenix 85028 Sonoran Gophersnake Homeowner called about an unknown snake under some patio furniture. Upon arrival I determined that it was a Sonoran Gophersnake. Yard was well kept and home backs up to a small wash so snake was most likely waiting out the heat of the day in the shade before moving on again. Snake was taken to better habitat in the preserve and placed into deep cover under a palo verde tree in a wash.

5:00 PM
New River 85087 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowners heard their dog barking differently outside and went to investigate. They heard a rattle and quickly brought the dog inside; it had not gotten close enough to be bitten. The snake was coiled under some vegetation against the home. Although this was a large horse property, there was very little vegetation and no shady areas where a snake could stay out of the sun. The home is surrounded by desert and enclosed by a chain-link fence.

Phoenix 85050 Sonoran Gophersnake A Sonoran gophersnake was found by a family with its head stuck in one glue trap and its tail stuck in another. I was able to place the snake and the glue traps directly into a bucket and take them home, where I poured olive oil on the snake, let it sit for some time, and then gently massaged the snake free without any damage. The snake was then given water and taken back to the area where it was originally found, and relocated 1.5 miles away in nearby natural desert, into a rodent burrow with surrounding desert tree cover.

Cave Creek 85331 Sonoran Gophersnake The homeowner noticed she had about 17 quail eggs in a pot in the backyard. Over the last few days, she realized they had been disappearing. This morning, she saw a gophersnake slither away from the pot and into a nearby drain pipe in the ground. I started to flood the pipe, but the water just kept going and I wasn’t sure where the pipe ended. After about 15 minutes, the gophersnake finally showed its head, and several minutes later it fully emerged. It was a smaller gophersnake and did not have eggs in its belly, so I’m not sure who else had been snacking. I checked the rest of the yard, which was within our fencing, and didn’t see anything.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, None The dogs are rattlesnake-trained and alerted the homeowners to a snake. The snake was found on the porch by the homeowner, who was able to carefully monitor it until it was safely placed in a bucket and relocated to nearby natural desert away from the community. The property had a block wall and a view fence, and the homeowners were very interested in snake fencing. Their pest control contractor had previously installed some, but it was not bolted down at the bottom and was not long enough. They are snowbirds from Seattle and are leaving in a week.

Cave Creek 85262 Kingsnake Just moving into the property. Notes for fencing. She has a front courtyard that has a climb risk due to a low wall, but wants to discuss options if you have any creative solutions after looking at it. The backyard looks very doable. They have existing mesh, though that is the wrong size and not properly attached and on the wrong side of the fence, all of that good stuff. She’s going to cut back all of the brush on the other side of the fence. The property is not a major snake, heavy yard, but would like to get a quote anyway, and I bet it would go through. They are only here for another few days and leave on Monday, Memorial Day, so if possible to get out there Thursday or Friday I bet we could get it.

8:30 AM
Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner’s dog was outside when she heard a loud rattle and quickly brought her dog inside. The snake was slithering along the back fence with a belly full of something. It tried several times to get through the view fence, but its swollen belly kept getting in the way. It eventually coiled under a bush in the backyard. The yard was large with a lot of vegetation, though all the plants were still very young. The homeowner had a bird feeder and birdbaths, and there was some natural desert behind the view fence. I noticed some feathers near the bush where she first saw the snake, so it may have caught a bird.

Phoenix 85054 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake To the sales team, check to make sure that she actually is looking for snake fencing. They clicked that themselves, but it did not come up during the removal. The back of the view fence has 24 inch half inch gap mesh with lots of problems and I started going down that discussion but the Father of the person I was talking too kind of shut that conversation down so approach appropriately in a bush in front yard. she is watching it. gate code #5300

Phoenix 85050 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowner called about a small rattlesnake on their back patio, right up against their sliding glass door. Upon arrival, the small Diamondback had managed to elude the homeowner. After a bit of searching, I was able to locate the little guy curled up against the base of a large palm tree. This yard has a ton of vegetation and a pool, perfect for any snake that is trying to find some relief from the impending summer heat. Snake was returned to the patch of desert across the street where it came from, I hiked it into an area that was far from the home and released it into a small burrow under a mesquite tree next to a wash.

Peoria 85383 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Received a call from customer stating that their daughter who was at home noticed a diamondback ant their back patio door and ran inside. Customer stated they were not on the property and were currently driving there. Customer text me photo of the snake and I confirmed it was a smaller atrox. Customer stated their daughter was home and to enter through the side yard once there. I arrived at property as customers were and they escorted me out back. Very large backyard on a corner lot. Desert wash runs south and east of property with long fence line facing open habitat. I did initial sweep of backyard without noticing any snake. Upon second pass I moved floor moldings away from stucco wall and noticed small atrox in ambush against stucco wall behind a pump sprayer. Utilized tongs to capture snake. Snake struck at tongs but otherwise captured and bucketed without incident. Snake did not rattle much. Performed another walkthrough inspection of yard. Customers doing some renovation on home and had piles of tiles and other materials around both front and back yard. Pointed these out to customer and provided education on snake behavior and how snakes will seek any space they can as refuge even if the materials had only been laying out for a short time. Pointed out large bougainvillea and lantana at edge of driveway and end of the wall that bordered the east side separating it from a wash. Advised to keep these plants trimmed or get rid of entirely. The wash that bordered the east side of property was strewn with small boulders that lead to a culvert under the street. Pointed tear out to customer as potential areas for snakes to hide/den. Customer inquired about chemical products to keep snakes away. I provided education in how these along with sonic/vibrational products do not work and advised customers to consider fencing. Customers agreed to free fencing quote.

Upon arrival it was determined that it was just a large gopher snake, however, they still wanted it removed. There were a few entry points in the side gates of the backyard. The back wall had some drainage holes, but they were all covered with fine mesh. The backyard was very large, with some grass and a lot of shady bushes… multiple good hiding spots for any reptile.
