The sheds appeared to be from the same snake. I watered out where I found the sheds. The leaf liter was about 2 feet high so it was really hard to see and the plant was super over grown. She is getting a landscaper to come take care of that and has a brick fence with one gate and a few drain holes.

There was an adult western diamondback shed also there that he said was there for three weeks. I searched the back yard and found another neonate atrox. He lives right by south mountain and a large wash that has a lot of atrox in it. He has a brick fence with one gate and a few drain holes.

7:30 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Snake was originally seen by customer coiled underneath plant near a bird feeder. Snake was not watched and had moved by the time I arrived. After a full sweep of the yard I located it underneath a different plant with a lot of dead leaves bunched at the bottom. Yard was full of overgrown plants, and had many water features and sprinklers.

6:00 AM		 Phoenix 85050 Blacktailed Rattlesnake The guy was driving around castle hot springs road last night in his jeep. He saw the black tail and stopped to take pictures. I’m not sure how but the snake crawled up into his jeep underneath. The guy couldn’t get it out so he just drove away. Today while at work and hour away from castle hot springs road and sort of in the city the snake decided to crawl out. The guy didn’t want to pay and said he was just going to cut the snakes head off. I didn’t want that to happen so I went and got it.

Snake managed to get into backyard from around neighbors house and into one of two side entrances, as block wall surrounding house provided no entrances around back of house where habitat was. Snake likely wandered into back yard after managing to wander into the neighborhood and needed to find shade. Back yard had plenty of shade and cool places like pool equipment for snake to seek shelter. No evidence of rodent activity, so likely a coincidence that snake was there in my opinion. Good candidate for fencing.

She has a large back yard with no fence and horse property around her and desert across the street. She has a garden and she feeds the rabbits and birds. The rattlesnake was in her garden and while looking through the garden I found another rattlesnake under a tarp covering hay. I informed her that feeding the wild animals will bring the snakes in because she has made a pretty good spot for a snake to not only stay cool but hydrated and be well fed. She said she will stop feeding the animals in her garden.

He then saw a shed under the only bush he has next to his house in his front yard. Today he saw the tiger rattlesnake coiled up next to the water spigot in the front yard up against the house. The ground was moist so I think the snake just used the spot to shed and get some water. The rest of the yard was pretty bare. Across the street from the house is south mountain and some nice rocky terrain.

I did a sweep of the yard and found a second one stretched out on some river rocks on the opposite side of front yard. House is on a hill right next to an open area where snakes are coming from most likely. Homeowner has a bunch of birdfeeders and fountains set up and has seen multiple snakes this year, but said she was finally going to remove the bird setups. Backyard has been snake proofed by us before but front yard is still open. Customer would like fencing team to possibly come out and make sure the fence is still good.
