Right behind the trash bins they had a wood pile and they saw a rattlesnake coiled partially beneath one of the stacks of wood. They quickly called us to come remove the snake.

Quite probably got that exact 18" 3c Western Diamondback in the garage today. it was caught in a glue trap and I was able to safely remove and release the snake.

By the time I arrived it was hidden somewhere in the agave. It took me more than an hour and a half to dig through the prickly stuff before I finally saw some scales and was able to capture the snake.

The snake was sleepy and cool, and hardly reacted as I moved it into the bucket. Advised to remove several overgrown plants in the yard and seal up a shed with holes and a beehive at the base to prevent snakes from using it.

The property is an eating disorder rehabilitation center, so removal of the snakes so close to client dorms was something very important to them. I found 1 small rattlesnake immediately sitting in corner of shed. I then flipped a piece of plywood and found the larger second one. I flooded out underneath shed, and a couple other suspicious areas. No further finds. End of report.

When I arrived the snake remained in same position as found. The customer kept an eye on the snake the entire time and directed me to it immediately. It was across the canal from an area where large diamondbacks are very common, and I suspect it fell into the canal and ended up on the wrong side.

No apparent injuries and customer said they do not use poison on property. I presume it was digesting a recent meal. Did full property inspection as well and no signs of other snakes were found.

Customer had seen this snake a few weeks ago and scooted it into the desert with a shovel, but decided to call us when it showed up again. Its likely hibernaculum was a burrow under a very large rock, that was filled in during those warm days in mid February. The girth and weight of this snake was impressive. Customer is a snow-bird from MN, and may pursue fencing upon their return this fall.

Fire Dept. removed a snake that the customer believes to be the same snake just 4 days ago. Was in the exact same spot. Probable den site about 40 yards away at a culvert that is built up with large boulders and deep crevices. An extensive fencing job with multiple gates and a sizable area. There is some chicken wire that most likely needs to be removed. There is also a courtyard area with a gate. I am unsure just what the customer would wish to do and an on-site estimate is needed.

Customer was just moving into the home and discovered the snakes under a large back deck. A third rattlesnake eluded capture. Two gates and 6 to 8 drainage holes for the fencing, however a large area of the back will also need fencing and I think an on-site estimate is needed here.

They were utilizing a homemade Desert Tortoise burrow and were coiled on top in some rocks. Customer had Derek out last year and she was actually bitten by a large Western Diamondback about two years ago.

I suggested searching the rest of the property and was able to find a second rattlesnake hiding in the pool equipment area. Searched the rest of the yard and found no other snakes.
