2020-04-23 8:30 AM	Tucson	85750	Western Diamondback Rattlesnake	Customer called about rattlesnake heard somewhere in his massive boulder pile in backyard. When I arrived I was directed to the area where the rattle was heard. While looking in rock pile in noticed black and white banding in the back of a narrow tunnel covered by a massive bush. My tongs would not fit in gap. I utilized customers garden hose. The snake went down a deeper layer of tunnel. I contacted to flood the area. I went to side of rock pile and saw it gliding through the tunnel. I brought the hose to that section and flooded. It then slowly came out of first tunnel that started flooding. I was able to gently gain control of the 2 1/2 foot western diamondback with my tongs and gently placed in my bucket. End of report.

Property is very open not many bushes or places to hide, minimal rodent activity. Conducted properly inspection, noticed gaps in fencing. Contact for fencing.

2020-04-22 1:30 PM	Scottsdale	85255	Western Diamondback Rattlesnake	One of the tenants at desert Parks Vista apartment complex in Scottsdale was walking back to her apartment when she noticed a rather large rattlesnake sitting right next to her welcome mat. The snake stayed stretched out on the concrete next to the wall for 20 minutes until I got there. This same apartment complex had a rattlesnake at a different apartment yesterday.

At 9pm she had another western diamondback in the same spot in her driveway she also killed that snake. Across the street from her is a house but then open desert. Her front yard doesn’t have much vegetation. I looked through her back yard and garage. She has a lot of trash in her back yard she said she is going to dispose of. I just let her know it is good hiding spots. She has a brick fence with two gates. She is wanting snake fencing done.

I caught the snake in a box just hanging out. She lives with a mountain right in her back yard and the open desert. She has view fence now and would like to be better protected back there.

I talked with her about the benefits of gophersnakes, and that they were harmless. She insisted it be removed due to her phobia of snakes. So I responded. I found the snake crawling between the power outlet and a trash bin. I captured the snake and released it immediately after. End of report.

When I got there the snake was poking his head out. When I went to get it, it went back up into the cabinet. The guy didn’t care if we wrecked his cabinet so we took off the boot of the cabinet with a hammer. I could see the snake then and waited till it came out a bit then grabbed it.

When I arrived snake was found in tight coil below the staircase to front door. Fortunately the customer noticed it. Snake was around 12-14 inches in length. An inspection around his mobile home was conducted afterwards. No further finds. End of report.

While doing inspection a western diamondback was found directly outside of a ground squirrel hole. I captured it immediately and continued to search. No other snakes were found. I did recommend they use pest control to help assist with the large amount of pack rats they had on property. I also recommended they trim large plants to help reduce shade source. They are interested in Rattlesnake fencing at some point, but currently in the process of expanding there fence. They said they would keep in contact once there fence is complete. End of report.

There was a junkyard next to the apartment complex, so I was thinking it came from there. There was no desert area nearby so they seemed like the only place it could have came from.

The snake coiled up under the gates and didn't move until I got there to relocate it.
