The snake was clamped in two spots. The snake unfortunately had died. It was ice cold and not moving. It didn’t seem like it had died to long ago so I still put it in a pack rat nest. The snake froze to death because it couldn’t escape the clamps. The homeowner saw the same snake a week ago when it snuck in their garage while it was open. They just showed it out. The yard has a view fence and is surrounded by desert. They will be renting the house out and want fencing.

Eventually, with the help of some rearranged items, the snake was discovered. It was a baby rattlesnake that had likely entered the garage through the gaps in the side of the garage door. The home is located in an area with suitable habitat for desert animals.

The pool had a rocky waterfall structure that had big pack rat hole going under it. The pool was about 20 meters from the patio. I believe the snake came out from the waterfall today because is was a sunny nicer day. The yard is all view fence and pretty large.

I was going to have to water it out but it was night time and the temperatures were dipping into the 30’s. I didn’t want to freeze the snake, so I told her I’d come back. We were hoping it would come out on its own but it didn’t so I watered it out, but during the day. After about 15 minutes it came out. This home is on the side of south mountain and just surrounded by desert.

It was almost tucked away in a drain pipe but I managed to snag it before it got away. They want fencing but it will be a hard fence to do because it is so low in certain areas and some parts are just boulders for the fence. The back right up to a rocky hill side.

Advised and inspected the property, but no additional snakes were found.

I arrived and was greeted by the customer and her mother, who was shining a light against a wall within the courtyard. I observed a small adult atrox in an ambush between a cactus pot and the stucco wall. Used tongs to capture snakes without incident. Snake was noted to be docile and did not rattle. Performed an inspection of the rest of the courtyard and the customer asked if I could inspect backyard as she stated seeing another rattlesnake in the backyard a couple hours earlier. Customer showed me picture of the snake in the backyard and it looked like it may have been the snake I just captured. Performed an inspection of the backyard. The backyard kept neat and tidy with a few areas of vegetation snake could seek refuge. Customer showed me where she spotted snake in backyard and pointed the direction she saw it go (towards SW side yard). Began search in that direction. Customer metal fencing on the NW end of yard that backs up to mountain. Fence sits atop brick wall that is approximately 2.5-3 feet tall on the side of the mountain. Wall sits atop paved drainage trench with steep walls that is paved. Fence continues NE direction before turning SE along a small wash on the side of the home. No drainage ditch in this area and I suspect snake was able to enter yard from here. Inspected the entire backyard and found no other snake. I believe the customer initially found snake in backyard and after spotting it, it moved through the side yard and through a hole that was in the brick wall on the SW side of the house and eventually made its way to the front courtyard. Asked the customer if she would be interested in having fencing team reach out to her for a free quote and she stated she was interested.
