When I caught the snake I noticed it had been ran over. Half the snakes body was twisted around. The homeowner had the garage door open about a foot to air it out. So I’m thinking the snake came in and when she pulled out she ran it over and didn’t see it until she pulled back in. It’s a rainy cold day out today. The snake may make it but I’m pretty sure it broke some vertebrae.

It cruised around to the back of the yard and that’s where I got it. The home has a large wash behind it. They have a partial view fence and one gate.

The gentleman went out to get the bricks and bring them in when he heard a rattle and ran inside. I saw the ring camera video and he did run lol. The home backs up to south mountain.

I didn’t find any problems in the backyard other than rodents and access. I recommended that we snake-proof just the back area which is a number of gates and drain blocks. There are other sections with complicated drainages and moving gates that I said probably do not need to be done unless landscaping changes don’t work.

He has a large automatic fence and unfortunately, the fence got the snake and skinned it’s side and it’s not looking too good. The snake was moving fine when I released it. The snake went into the motor of the fence and it took a while to get it out. It is raining and really cold. As I was leaving the home about 50 meters down the road there was a freshly hit adult atrox.

The garage door was shut. He thinks the snake snuck in the day before because the garage is sealed well. They just moved here two weeks ago from California.
