Customer stayed large Rosemary bush is over 20 years old. We did some significant trimming to the bush and I attempted to flood it out, but found no other snakes. I suspect that there is some sort of burrow or hole underneath the bush that the snakes disappeared into. customer is going to schedule his landscaper to come and remove rosemary bush while I am present so that any snakes found in the bush can be promptly removed. If customer calls again to schedule this, please ask for me.

While looking at the camera she saw a rattlesnake cruising around the pen. Both goats laying just feet away. She said the snake was after a mouse that she thinks it killed. She watches our videos on Instagram so thought she could try and catch it and put it in a bucket but it rattled at her and that was enough. It was just coiled up in the pen when I got there. Her home is surrounded by desert. She has a wire fence and wants to protect her goats from future visitors.

It was a large snake super thick too. The homeowner said he saw it in the road just a few houses down two nights ago.

2021-09-22 10:00 PM	Phoenix	85020	Western Diamondback Rattlesnake	Rattlesnake with a damaged tail was found approximately a mile from the main part of the Piestewa preserve. Likely driven so far from the preserve due to construction in the area. I suspect that it followed the wall that separates the neighborhood from the 51 freeway. Snakes tail damage didn’t seem to effect its health, but it was unable to rattle. Seemed like it had paralysis an inch or so above the tail, as the rattle just kind of dangled there no matter what the snake was doing. Tail damage could have been from construction.

But then it disappeared, fearing for his dogs he wanted me to look around. I searched the front nothing. I went into the back and just on the side yard there it was cruising through the back yard. This home is right on a little mountain with a view fence.

The likely point of ingress was a double side gate with a large clear space underneath. The snake was quiet until I moved to grab it then it was instantly very active and mobile, striking and hard to contain in the bucket

The homeowner attempted to quire it away from home with a long pool net, but the opposite happened. The snake ended up slithering in the corner near the front door and behind a wooden “Welcome” sign. When I arrived the snake was in the same place as told on the phone. It was quite defensive. I was able to capture without incident. I also did a courtesy inspection to look for any additional snakes. I found a Desert Nightsnake as well. I educated the homeowner about the nightsnake and he decided that the nightsnake could stay. No more rattlesnakes were found. End of report.
