On the side of the home there was a rocky drainage which is where I think the snake had been hanging out. Her yard didn’t have much for deep cover unless it had been in the garage which was sealed pretty well. The home had a view fence and one gate. The home had a South Mountain Preserve across the street. |

Arrived at property and was greeted by customer and daughter who were watching the snake with garage door open. Noted a juvenile atrox in corner nearest garage door entrance. Snake was rattling but it was not very loud. Used tongs to capture snake. Snake struck at tongs but I was able to bucket it without further incident. Inspected garage afterward and found no other snakes or signs of snake activity. I did note that the garage seal nearest to where the snake was seemed to be coming off and I suspect this is where the snake entered. I addressed this with customer. Customer has desert wash that runs both north and west of the neighborhood. |

The area is well developed but there is a big desert wash behind the home that goes on a few miles but all surrounded by homes. |
