When I arrived while waiting for them to open the door, I spotted a small gopher snake in front of the house upon a search of the backyard where the snake they called for was no other snakes were found, and we concluded that the gopher snake was likely the snake that they had mistaken for rattlesnake.

She was coiled a foot or so away from the front door in an oddly exposed position. The snake was a 1-2-year-old apparently female Western Diamondback Rattlesnake.

Tucson 85714 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Customer called about having a rattlesnake at one of the power plants. We have a contract with them. When I arrived I was directed to the snake that was being watched by an employee named Daniel. The snake was outside one of the buildings on site. It was half wedged underneath the building. It could not fit all the way under due to its girth. I used my hook and tong to get it out. The snake was extremely defensive. I was able to finally get it in bucket. Snake was released shortly after. End of report.

Tucson 85713 None Customer wanted inspection because she found a snake outside of garage that she believed was a sidewinder. Customer was mainly concerned about her side gate and a drainage being utilized to travel to backyard. The entire front yard, back yard and garage were inspected. No snakes on property. Behind her concrete wall while just viewing the desert habitat I did find a western diamondback sprawled out. I showed the customer and explained the identifying features. I left the snake as is because it was in its natural behind wall in a wash. Customer is very interested in doing a future fencing job through us. End of report.
