Phoenix 85044 Nightsnake Homeowner called with a potential baby rattlesnake by the side gate/ front patio. The homeowner had two dogs and was scared that they might get bitten. After just a few minutes of searching around the side gate I noticed a very thin tail sticking out from underneath the side door of the garage. I was able to secure the desert nightsnake and relocated just off the trail in a heavily covered wash down the street.

Phoenix 85044 Western Patchnosed Snake The homeowner was leaving for work this morning when he saw what he thought was a rattlesnake slither in his house. He had to go to work so called me to go search his home 7 hours later. He has a unique home and the room the snake went into was very large with a lot of stuff. After a long search, I spotted the patch-nose snake under an arcade game machine. The home has desert about a quarter mile away on two sides but otherwise is land locked with some drainages near by.

Phoenix 85044 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A homeowner in Ahwatukee called about a rattlesnake in his yard. When I arrived the western diamondback was curled up in a corner of the backyard wall. The home is at the base of South Mountain and surrounded by desert with a large hill directly behind the house. There are also a couple of large rock piles and wood piles just on the other side of the fence, so no surprise there was a rattlesnake at this property. I hiked the snake back into the preserve and placed it into the deep cover of a rock pile at the base of a hill with a large drainage just below.

When I arrived the snake was on the move and halfway under a bush. This place is right on South Mountain and they get plenty of snakes so the tenants and maintenance workers know the drill. Snake relocated into deep cover in a wash in the preserve.

Phoenix 85044 Sonoran Gophersnake Received a call about a snake in a garage. The customer stated the snake had been in the garage for over a week. The customer bought snake repellent online and admitted it must not have worked well. The customer texted me a picture and I confirmed it was a Sonoran gopher snake. Arrived at the home and was met by the customer outside of her garage. She pointed out the snake that was under a shoe rack against the back wall of the garage. Captured a snake with my hands with no issue. Snake was a medium-sized juvenile. Inspected the rest of the garage no other snakes found. Inspected the garage door seal and it seemed in good shape. I suspect the snake made its way into the garage at some point when it was open.

For fear it might enter the backyard, they wanted it removed. I was able to quickly find the western diamondback under a large Lantanna shrub in the front yard. After some quick tips about bush maintenance, I was able to relocate the snake into a deep rocky cave at the base of south mountain of a trail in the neighborhood.

Phoenix 85044 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A security guard called about seeing a rattlesnake outside of a Charles Schwab office near South Mountain. When I arrived, the snake had moved into a man-made drainage of large river rocks. It was bed down under a small pile of rocks and was found after a short search. The close proximity to open, native habitat makes this a frequent location for snake removal calls.

Phoenix 85044 Chuckwalla The customer called and stated he was checking his pool filter when he spotted a lizard, believed to be a Gila monster due to its orange and black coloration. Upon arrival, we discovered it was a vibrant Chuckwala that was stuck in the pool filter. After the capture of the species, we ensured to check the rest of the large backyard, with no other wildlife being found. We did recommend rattlesnake fencing, as his property did back up to a huge open, desert preserve which is most likely where the lizard traveled from.
