Phoenix 85083 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This is the third time in about three months I have been to this ladies house. She has a large back yard with no fence and horse property around her and desert across the street. She has a garden and she feeds the rabbits and birds. The rattlesnake was in her garden and while looking through the garden I found another rattlesnake under a tarp covering hay. I informed her that feeding the wild animals will bring the snakes in because she has made a pretty good spot for a snake to not only stay cool but hydrated and be well fed. She said she will stop feeding the animals in her garden.

10:00 PM
Phoenix 85083 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Received a call of rattlesnake in the front courtyard of customer’s home. I arrived and was greeted by the customer and her mother, who was shining a light against a wall within the courtyard. I observed a small adult atrox in an ambush between a cactus pot and the stucco wall. Used tongs to capture snakes without incident. Snake was noted to be docile and did not rattle. Performed an inspection of the rest of the courtyard and the customer asked if I could inspect backyard as she stated seeing another rattlesnake in the backyard a couple hours earlier. Customer showed me picture of the snake in the backyard and it looked like it may have been the snake I just captured. Performed an inspection of the backyard. The backyard kept neat and tidy with a few areas of vegetation snake could seek refuge. Customer showed me where she spotted snake in backyard and pointed the direction she saw it go (towards SW side yard). Began search in that direction. Customer metal fencing on the NW end of yard that backs up to mountain. Fence sits atop brick wall that is approximately 2.5-3 feet tall on the side of the mountain. Wall sits atop paved drainage trench with steep walls that is paved. Fence continues NE direction before turning SE along a small wash on the side of the home. No drainage ditch in this area and I suspect snake was able to enter yard from here. Inspected the entire backyard and found no other snake. I believe the customer initially found snake in backyard and after spotting it, it moved through the side yard and through a hole that was in the brick wall on the SW side of the house and eventually made its way to the front courtyard. Asked the customer if she would be interested in having fencing team reach out to her for a free quote and she stated she was interested.

Phoenix 85083 Coachwhip This is at an assisted living facility. One of the guest spotted a small snake slither under the tv stand in the home. It was a baby coachwhip. Phoenix 85083 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Rattlesnake in bush they tried to get it but then it went in the bush. Upon arrival found customer and his neighbor using a 12 foot tree trimming pole to pin the back of the snake. That was taking cover in the shrubbery that lines the front walkway. Captured an average sized adult western diamondback. This snake likely entered the neighborhood through one of the open cul de sacs and got lost in the maze. It seemed to be a healthy weight indicating it had either not been trapped in the neighborhood long, or that it was thriving while it was in there.

Phoenix 85083 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A rattlesnake rattled at a homeowner as she was picking up a package on her doorstep. They called us and tried to watch the snake through their window, but it eluded them. After checking the perimeter of the house, we found a small hole in front that we suspected the snake could be hiding in. We decided to carefully flush it with a garden hose. The snake’s head popped out, and I was able to safely relocate it.

Phoenix 85083 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowner called to report that a rattlesnake had disappeared into a bush in front of her home. She remained outside to ensure it did not leave that bush. The property was very difficult to locate, as the entrance to the dirt road is obscured by trees and overgrowth. Upon arrival, it was clear that the property is a rattlesnake paradise: acres of overgrown ground cover, bushes, and trees, along with a running hose that had been soaking the ground for hours at midday. I recommended clearing all ground cover to at least 6 inches high, or she will continue to see snakes. She will notify the groundskeeper. The property is also adjacent to a mountain and a nature preserve.
