It slithered behind a near by box and then she called me. It ended up being a juvenile gophersnake. She found its skin in her garage last weekend and there was some snake poop in the garage. She had some gaps in the sides of the garage door. There was some desert surrounding the community along with a golf course.

The home is fenced, with fencing done by us, but the warranty expired in June 2025. The snake was last seen in a large agave cluster, so I flooded the area, and the homeowner and I began removing some agave plants here and there to help. After about 40 minutes, we discovered a Sonoran gophersnake underneath all the debris. The snake was released in a packrat nest in a small patch of desert near the neighborhood but away from homes.
