Mesa | 85215 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The snake was coiled up in the break room at a great clips. One of the girls ate her whole lunch in there not knowing but then someone spotted it just coiled under a desk. I caught it behind the wash machine in that room. They had their back door open all morning which faces a canal and a tiny strip of desert. This was a busy area and the snake is very lucky it didn’t get hit by a car. |

Mesa | 85215 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner called stating their young nephew was in the back yard behind the workshop area where rocks are piled and he ran in informing him he spotted a rattlesnake, the homeowner found the snake actively crawling along the rocks, they tracked it as long as they could while waiting on my arrival. When I arrived the homeowner met me outside the garage/workshop and led me to the back door where it was first seen then guided me along the path to a gate where they last saw it suspecting it went under a large plastic chest. However the snake was not under the chest so I followed the wall behind the gated area where there were piles of brick and tile and spotted the snakes head poking out from under the tiles. I got the Rattlesnake out and contained it in the bucket for release into desert habitat away from buildings. The home is situated in a built up series of gated communities but not far from some natural desert preserve areas, there is lots of new construction near by. The snake was driven up to the desert habitat beyond the construction area and small mining operation and put into a pack rat nest. |

By the time I arrived, the large western diamondback had curled up between an air-conditioning unit and the side of the house. Home was on a large farm-style property with lots of hiding places, and just south of the Salt River. I took the snake back towards the river bed and placed it into a large packrat nest with a lot of dense vegetation around. Mesa |

Mesa | 85213 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | Homeowner in Mesa called about a rattlesnake curled up by her front door. The young Western Diamondback was still in the same spot when I got there and greeted me with a lovely rattle. Not much habitat in the immediate area but enough for a rattlesnake to survive I suppose. Took the snake to a nearby patch of desert that will serve as a much better habitat and placed it into a packrat nest at the base of a large shady tree. |

Mesa | 85212 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner noticed the snake yesterday by her trash cans in her backyard. She thought it would go away but saw it again today. The snake was dead and I’m not sure how. I think it overheated.
