Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner went to turn the hose faucet on in the backyard when she noticed the rattlesnake coiled in a water box right below it that had the lid off. The hose was dripping which may have attracted the snake. The home backed up to a drainage that led to a lot more desert down the road.

Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The renter of the house knew there was a rattlesnake living in the backyard for some time. The landscaper told he was going to kill it and that he had already killed 7 in the past year. She called us hoping we would do it for free so the snake could live. The house backs up to the McDowell Mountain Preserve & has a view fence with some really bad snake fencing. Anything that gets in will have no way out.

Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner contacted us after a delivery driver noticed a rattlesnake coiled up in the shade near the front door. Another snake had been removed from the same porch about a week ago. This home was in Scottsdale, surrounded by native habitat and just across the street from a desert preserve. The back yard has snake fencing that had been installed by us but the homeowner did not need me to look at it as it had been looked at only last week.

Scottsdale 85255 Longnosed Snake Security guard at an apartment complex called about a tenant who said they had a “small black and white snake” in their apartment. They were able to contain it in the corner of the living room by placing a small pot over it. When I arrived I found the Longnosed Snake under the pot. The front door had gaps that the young snake could easily fit through. What was most impressive though is that this apartment was on the second floor, about 20ft up. Not quite sure how the little one managed that but either way, impressive.

Scottsdale 85255 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowners were having a FIFA soccer party when they saw a rattlesnake on their porch. They watched it go into a hole in their outdoor fridge and barbecue cabinets. After finally obtaining the snake, I found a packrat nest underneath these cabinets and lots of rat poop. They have had snakes before but did not want to have this problem anymore. They are very interested in rattlesnake fencing as soon as possible. One of the party goers said they got their fencing through us and vouched that it works perfectly.

Scottsdale 85254 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Rattlesnake found in the backyard under a table and had crawled to a wall before I arrived. Nothing in the neighborhood could support a rattlesnake the size and I expect that it had fallen into the canal and washed to the other side at some point

Scottsdale 85254 None Had a gopher snake in there garden yesterday morning. I looked around the garden did not see the snake. There yard is large but very little vegetation besides the garden. They have been having issues with rodents eating there vegetables. I assume the snake was there for the rodents and moist garden mulch that is very shaded.

Scottsdale 85254 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Rattlesnake found under the shed in the backyard. Inspected the property and found no signs of other snakes or activity. Since it was on the wrong side of the canal, I assume it fell in at some point and had managed to find this spot to hide.

6:30 PM
Scottsdale 85254 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner got home from the gym and pulled into the garage. She got out, put something on a shelf, and heard a rattle. The snake was tucked away under the shelves. The garage door had gaps when shut. This location is odd, but I do get snakes in this area from time to time. A large canal separates a densely packed neighborhood from the wide-open desert. The canal is large, so the snake had to have swam across it.

Scottsdale 85254 Sonoran Gophersnake The homeowner was out in the back yard when he spotted a snake by a bunch of pots in the shade. He said it rattled so he thought it was a rattlesnake. It ended up being a large gophersnake. In one of the pots there was 5 quail eggs so it looks like the snake was just eating some eggs. The home didn’t have much vegetation but there neighbors had a lot. They also were surrounded by golf courses.

Scottsdale 85254 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was having landscaping done when they spotted the snake. They then threw it in the street and it went into his neighbors yard. The neighbor had him call us to have it safely removed. There was a lot of lantana yards and lush vegetation around. This side of the canal was all homes. The other side of the canal was a lot of desert so it crossed at some point. This was a good quarter mile from good habitat.

Scottsdale 85254 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This community had eyes on this snake for a while as it moved from the backyard of one home across a couple of driveways before coiling up in a bush in the front yard of another home. When I arrived there was a small crowd keeping an eye on the snake. The large male atrox was extremely calm and did not resist. Given where this home was, my only conclusion was that he swam across the canal to get to this neighborhood so I gave him a ride back.
