I was able to catch one but the other got out from a large hole in the house and stucco of the fence. They thought they had three because they saw the snake leave while I drove there but we figured it was probably just one of the mating pair. Seems like this hole just wasn’t noticed when they installed the fence but both snakes could have got in this way. Also, the bottom rubber part of the fence seems to be wearing and I think a small snake could easily get in.

So I’m thinking the snake came in and when she pulled out she ran it over and didn’t see it until she pulled back in. It’s a rainy cold day out today. The snake may make it but I’m pretty sure it broke some vertebrae.

I popped it open and it was stuck to a sticky trap along with another dead adult atrox. I was able to free the snake with some oil and it was unharmed. The home has some dessert around it in the community but not a lot of great dessert anymore it’s really built up.

When I went to grab the snake it fell down the elevator shaft not to far a few feet. I went under there and was able to grab the snake. The parking garage is underground and I’m not sure how the snake even was able to get into this area. The offices are surrounded by desert and a lot of construction.
