He wasn’t sure if it was venomous or not so called to have it removed. It was a night snake, which I was able to safely get off. The garage was sealed pretty good but a night snake could probably get in the sides he also has had the garage open while moving.

The owner was about to walk out the back door when he spotted the baby rattlesnake coiled up inside. The door had a big gap underneath and you could see outside. The business has a little desert across the street that is getting developed right now.

11:00 AM		 Scottsdale 85260 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This was at a business center in the under ground parking garage. Someone had saw the snake but then they lost sight of it. I found the snake not far from where they saw it just coiled in the corner. It was pretty cold in this parking garage. There were gaps that separated the wall and cement floor that possibly could have been a place the snake was. There were also some storage rooms nearby. They had just received a bunch of desert trees that were placed right by this area that the snake could have been transported in. It was a healthy older adult and the area I got it in was extremely populated.

She then lost sight of the snake and called us, believing it was a rattlesnake. It turned out to be a gophersnake, which had climbed into a tall bush just behind her fence. I was able to locate and safely capture it, and it did have a bolus. The property has a significant amount of desert habitat across the street.

She brought the dogs inside and watched the rattlesnake. It was at the edge of her grass, out in the open, in a very small patch of shade. It was 106 degrees out, and I was very surprised it was where it was. She had a few smaller rosemary plants in the backyard, which were the only shady spots besides her back patio. The home had a desert drainage behind it and some desert beside it that led to a larger desert area.

This garage is currently under construction and the snake was in the basement two floors down sitting right in front of a door. The area has a lot of new construction going on, so I took the snake down the road to a wash with trees for cover. I placed her in a packrat nest with deep cover.
