There were some bushes in the yard; I talked to the owner about trimming them back, but nothing too drastic was needed. Both side gates have large gaps, and the snake likely just entered the yard while wandering around. The snake was released into a packrat nest in a wash near the neighborhood, but away from homes.

The couple who lives there bought the home with rattlesnake fencing already installed. They were under the impression it had been done by us, but it clearly had not. The mesh holes were too large and not secured in the view fence, and only some of the drainage holes in the block wall were secure. There was a gap/damage in the side gate rattlesnake fencing, which appears to be how the snake entered the backyard and then could not find an exit. This is their first rattlesnake in many years, according to them. They are interested in our fencing options. The snake was relocated into natural desert, into packrat nests about one mile away.

He went back inside the house to grab a better flashlight, and when he came back out, the snake was gone. I arrived about 45 minutes later and searched the yard until I found the snake coiled up near the pool pump. This was a large yard with a lot of cover from both landscaping and general clutter. The block wall surrounding the backyard had many drain holes that appeared to be roughly filled with mortar and blocked off with pavers.

They tried to get it to move along with the hose and the leaf blower, but it was stubborn and curled up for the day when I arrived. I found it in the same position and the fiesty snake took a moment to secure in my bucket. I was able to relocate the snake to some nearby, heavily vegetated habitat with evidence of rodents everywhere.

The gate was well sealed so the snake was stuck hanging out in the front yard. Easy capture and release into a nearby packrat nest that was surrounded by a wash and a large mud pit that I almost fell in.

There are flood holes on either side of the house where snake could have gotten in. Inspected the backyard and could not find. Flushed two spots under the foundation for 10 min each with no luck. He hadn’t seen the snake but was sure it was in the garage somewhere. Once in the garage, I started tapping my tongs on the ground, and sure enough, the rattles started. The snake was in the corner of the garage near the water softener. There was no clear entry point, as the garage was well sealed, so I imagine the snake entered when the garage door was open. Quick grab and release into a pack rat nest surrounded by open desert.

She was moving plywood in the back yard when she saw the rattlesnake coiled behind a piece in the back yard. She has been having work done on her home and they have been leaving the gate open. The snake likely got in that way. I did see some mesh pushed up and a little bigger gap than I think there should be on their back gate. The home has a lot of desert around it and in between the homes.

The area has a lot of new construction going on, so I took the snake down the road to a wash with trees for cover. I placed her in a packrat nest with deep cover.

She did not see anything, but believed it was a rattlesnake. This house is located near a golf course, has a view fence and has desert landscaping behind it. At some point, snake fencing was installed by someone around the perimeter. As soon as she opened the garage door remotely, I spotted a rattlesnake and was able to safely secure it. The snake was relocated nearby in a packrat nest.

I was able to safely get it out. It appeared like the clamp got all skin and it just looked a little sore where it was clamped. The snake should be perfectly fine. The home had a drainage right beside it and had a desert hillside not far from it. The courtyard where the snake was had a running fountain and a lot of vegetation.

Homeowners were having steak and wine dinner in their porch when they saw an adult western diamondback near them. They watched the snake from inside, called the neighbors, and I was able to relocate the agitated snake into a bucket safely with a boisterous audience.

Sure enough, he spotted one under his pool pump, just coiled up. It was a really cold rainy day. Near the pool pump was a grill island which is the only spot near that I could image the snake hibernating in. The home has a view fence and has quite a bit of desert around it.

There was a dying centipede near the neonate so I’m not sure if the little one envenomated it. I was able to get the little one out from under the pot. There was also a large shedded king snake skin under there. She said she saw the king a few months before she let it stay. This was large property with a lot of vegetation but it was all very clean. Next to the big pot, about 7 feet away, was a grill island that I believe the snake was staying under for winter. She is scheduled to get our fencing done already in the spring. There is some desert just behind her back wall.
