2020-07-09 6:30 AM	Phoenix	85048	Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake	The homeowner saw a atrox along the back wall of her house. It was just cruising the wall where her water had flooded out. She then notice a speckled rattlesnake in a wash by her side yard. The speckled was just hanging out I got that one. The atrox was on the move and unfortunately went into the desert before I arrived. She showed me a picture and it appears to be a gravid female. Her house backs up to a nice wash at south Mountain. She has a very short view fence. I have been to her house before for a speckled rattlesnake at the front door. She is interested in fencing.
2020-07-09 10:00 AM	Cave Creek	85331	None	rattlesnake by planter box. The pool person found the snake in a large pot in the back yard next to their wall. The picture is was atrox. No one was around to watch the snake and when I got there the pot was in the sun so the snake had left. They have a plastic mesh that’s about a foot tall around there view fence and thought they were protected but unfortunately are not. The snake crawled over the mesh into this large pot that is up against the fence and about ground level on the other side. The back yard doesn’t have much vegetation and is mostly tile with a pool. They do however live on a mountain with desert all around them. They have little streams by them man-made and plenty of cover outside their yard for snakes. I did not find the snake but they would love their view fence rattlesnake protected.

There was a large hole so they put a camera and saw Javelina, opossums, and rodent come in and out. They decided to water it out to see what would come out. A giant bull frog came out then two rattlesnakes. They called us one got out of sight. I caught one and searched for the other with no luck. It was pretty dense back there with lots of holes everywhere.

They were not told that there would be a charge if it was not a rattlesnake. When I arrived I noticed that a big rock was in place where the gate had been propped open at some time. I located the coachwhip on the back patio behind a bbq cover. I educated them about not propping the gate open. Super nice people and very thankful.

Snake wasn’t there but I figured it was just under the tarp. After pulling up many sections I as able to locate it. Helped rip out the rest of tarp area since that was one of the only real problem areas on the property. Looked over rest of property, no other snakes present.
