A large group saw the gila move across the yard and under a large dasylirion plant. I saw it go into a hole at the base of the plant and had to flood the hole for an hour until the Gila emerged. No fencing on backyard but has only had 2 snakes in 5 years so still not concerned enough to fence entire backyard.

2020-07-09 10:00 AM	Cave Creek	85331	None	rattlesnake by planter box. The pool person found the snake in a large pot in the back yard next to their wall. The picture is was atrox. No one was around to watch the snake and when I got there the pot was in the sun so the snake had left. They have a plastic mesh that’s about a foot tall around there view fence and thought they were protected but unfortunately are not. The snake crawled over the mesh into this large pot that is up against the fence and about ground level on the other side. The back yard doesn’t have much vegetation and is mostly tile with a pool. They do however live on a mountain with desert all around them. They have little streams by them man-made and plenty of cover outside their yard for snakes. I did not find the snake but they would love their view fence rattlesnake protected.

She couldn’t keep an eye on it and I searched the front and back yard and did not find the snake. She has some desert on her side yard and behind her house.

I found a bush along the side of the house with a few rodent holes at the base. I used a hose to put water into the holes and several minutes later, a Western diamondback emerged. Fencing notes: chickens in the backyard, she did some fencing on the gate herself but realizes it needs to be replaced. Had contacted some other company for a quote but they did not respond to her. I think as long as we keep the price right and kill it on customer service we will get this one

Before I arrived, it found a hiding spot under a rock slab. Easy capture. Searched the rest of the property to see if any other rattlesnakes could be there, too.

Neonate western diamondback originally seen coiled in shade behind backyard bbq island. Snake ended up getting into crack between island and house and had to be flooded out. Likely entered through small drainage holes in backyard wall.

They where outside enjoying the sun when the gentleman saw the rattlesnake coiled up in his back corner of his yard. They have a view fence with a golf course behind it, then desert behind that. Seems like the snake just climbed over the wall. The yard had a few over grown plants but other than that not much other than location attracting the snake .

The snake was coiled up under the grill it was one of those grills that’s surrounded by concrete and it was obvious rodents had been hanging out in there. I bet the snake had plans to stay for the winter. They said they have seen a lot of snakes in there yard this year. They are surrounded by desert and have a view fence.
