Gilbert | 85203 | None | Received call from a customer stating that there was a rattlesnake inside of his neighbor’s house. Caller said that he lived on in a guest home on his neighbor’s lot and was calling for her. Customer stated snake got in from open front door. Arrived at property on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Reservation and was greeted by caller who showed me inside customer’s home. Greeted customer who was on the couch and she pointed to me where she first saw the snake near a rolled up carpet between living room and the kitchen. Customer stated she saw the snake and it “rattled and growled” at her. She stated she saw the snake go further into the kitchen behind refrigerator. Kitchen was structurally in disrepair and cluttered with empty cans and trash. Called assisted in clearing out the kitchen. There was a hole in the wall near the sink that lead to the outside. Looked under refrigerator, sink, and cabinets. Structural damage and rodent litter noted throughout. Finished up in the kitchen area and inspected the outside property. Property sits between 2 large agricultural fields and called stated it is flood irrigated. Many overgrown grasses and perennial plants around property. Poked my head under crawl space and noted a water leak from inside the home with water pooling. Pointed out all areas to caller and provided education on snake behavior. Performed quick inspection of the rest of the home. The rooms were packed with belongings and inaccessible for the most part. I suspect if there was a snake it may have been a gophersnake as the customer stated it was a yellow color and hissed. The owner of the home seemed like she may not have been fully aware of what was happening. Opted to not charge the customers and told the owner if she sees the snake again to call us. |

Mesa | 85203 | Longnosed Snake | Homeowner in Mesa called about a snake in his garage. When I arrived I spotted the Longnose Snake stuck in a glue trap in a corner near the garage door. The seal on the garage was a bit worn out and had enough space for the small snake to enter even with the door closed. I was able to free the snake relatively easy and after adjusting his jaw he seemed just fine and ready to get back out into a better place. |

Mesa | 85201 | Blacktailed Rattlesnake | Mesa Arts Center was called in by staff. This was an odd call. The security guard almost stepped on the black tail. This is smack dab in the middle of the city nothing but businesses and concrete. There is no desert for 20 miles. I think the snake must have got up into a vehicle or hitched a ride on something and came out while the vehicle was parked. |

Mesa | 85201 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | This was in a warehouse one of the workers got rattled at and spotted it coiled by some pallets. This is not a common area for rattlesnakes because the only way over is to cross under the highway from the river bottom. |

Mesa | 85201 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | Homeowner called with a rattlesnake under their travel trailer at an RV park. They were very concerned about their outdoor cats. Since the travel trailer was very high up off the ground and not fenced in and the rattlesnake was accessible from the edge of it.I decided to go out and relocate the snake. When I got there, it was curled up in between 2 ladder rungs at the back end of the trailer. I was able to relocate the snake to a nearby wash into deep coverage by the Salt River. |

Casa Grande | 85194 | Mojave Rattlesnake | The snake was in the trench on their job site. It is a solar company with nothing but an open desert around. The snake would have not been able to get out of the trench it was about five feet deep and had some pipes going down it. This is my third Mojave call to this job site in 3 weeks. |

Casa Grande | 85194 | Mojave Rattlesnake | The rattlesnake had been seen hanging out in the same shady corner against the building for a few days. With children around and a school nearby, they decided to have it relocated since it wasn’t leaving on its own. There wasn’t much around this building, but there was some vegetation with drip irrigation, which is likely what attracted the snake. The school is surrounded by a lot of desert and open agricultural land. |

Casa Grande | 85194 | Mojave Rattlesnake | Homeowner called about a Rattlesnake outside her back yard door. When I arrived I found the Mojave Rattlesnake stretched out under the door along the home. Yard was fairly large but lacked good hiding places for snakes. Had multiple gates with gaps which is likely where the snake entered. Snake released into a rodent hole at the base of a creosote bush within estimated home range. |

Casa Frande | 85193 | Western Diamondback Rattlesnake | The homeowner was taking the trash out and the snake was by her front door. While I drove there the snake had left and I couldn’t find it in her yard but her neighbors yard had a lot more stuff in it. I was searching the neighbors back yard by a big shed when I heard a rattle. There was a lot of brush and stacked wood so I couldn’t see the snake. I was kind of hitting the wood and the snake slithered out. The person who called yard was very clean no vegetation and they have a tall view fence with two gates. These homes are surrounded by desert. |

Oddly enough, almost one year to the day, I removed a rattlesnake from this exact spot. Behind this home is a preserve where they can’t build, but in front of it there used to be desert that is now divided into lots under construction. |

San Tan Valley | 85143 | None | Rattlesnake in hole under the concrete back porch. When I arrived I heard it buzzing, but could not see it. I decided to flood the hole, and did so for about 30 minutes. The snake never came out so we tried to dig it out with shovels for a long time but the snake was never heard or seen again. We backfilled the hole very well. I inspected the property and could not find any exit holes. Unfortunately I do not think the snake will make it. Sincerely tried my best. |

I don’t think there was a snake to begin with. She has a brick fence, a few drain holes and a gate. |

San Tan Valley | 85143 | Mojave Rattlesnake | Baby mojave rattlesnake found in homeowner's backyard with 2 children and 1 dog. They have had no snakes for the past 6 years so it was a big surprise. The family had seen it for the past couple of days and it was not moving on as it was hunkered down underneath a large storage bin. They would hear it rattle if they went near it's spot. Snake was captured and relocated into a natural desert area with rodent activity and into a rodent hole. |

San Tan | 85143 | Mojave Rattlesnake | A homeowner in San Tan Valley called about a Mojave rattlesnake in their garage. The snake was discovered when they arrived home and got out of the car and saw it curled up right next to the garage door entrance. This neighborhood is small and surrounded by desert on three sides, so no surprise that the snake was in the area. Not sure if it spent the winter in the garage or if it just found its way in recently. I hiked the snake back out into the surrounding desert away from homes and found a large packrat nest that it should be able to use and hopefully have a better chance at survival than it would in this homeowner‘s garage. |

San Tan | 85143 | Kingsnake | The homeowners called the hotline right after being delivered food, the delivery driver informed them they had a \"rattlesnake\" sitting behind a decoration by their front door. They were afraid to check around any further due to the potential of a misstep by doing so since it was noted to be so close to the doorway. When I arrived I immediately walked to the front door where the animal was noted to be last seen, right away to my pleasant surprise it was an adult kingsnake stretched perfectly across the doorstep looking upwards, I picked the snake up and contained it in the bucket, while doing so I heard little chirping sounds I couldn\'t quite pinpoint. After knocking on the door the homeowners pointed out the nest of baby birds within their front door wreath, and explained this was the second year the momma bird had nested there successfully. It was then very clear that the kingsnake was looking up with the intent to get to that bird nest for it\'s door dashed dinner as well. I followed up by inspecting the property which has clean minimal and well maintained landscaping with a solid block wall for fencing and explained it would be easy to have the fencing team Rattlesnake proof their yard which they were very thankful and interested in. The home is on the end of a small community that is centered in and surrounded by open desert and agricultural land. |
