After she ran away she called us. The snakes were still there in flagrante delicto, in coitus when i arrived. This home is in rocky habitat right up to the creek which is running. There is thick brush and a prominent packrat midden visible from the porch.

Though it was open to the desert, they were concerned because “people walk out there sometimes”. The property is at the top of a steepish slope that leads down to flats and then the Pantano wash.

The snake had appeared from a drain hole with access into the upper part of the wall and it is presumed there is a nice little hangout area within. I secured the wire mesh covering the drain hole. A Western Diamondback Rattlesnake was captured in the courtyard and removed.

They had been leaving to walk the dog and witnessed a snake stretched out in the sun and thought they’d seen another disappearing into the a hole at the base of a very old prickly pear. When i arrived i went about watering various burrows and only found a Spiny Lizard. As I was leaving a the homeowner thought she’d seen a black and white tail disappearing into some leaves. Soon i was able to remove a female Western Diamondback Rattlesnake that had coiled under a bush. The property was pretty well groomed and signs of rodent activity scarce. The owners haven’t seen a snake there in 10 years, and though that might mean nothing, the lack of apparent prey activity makes me wonder if a neighbor hadnt recently disturbed these snakes while removing a packrat nest.

I arrived and witnessed the snake making its way through the grass just a short distance from where another WDB was removed very recently. I was able to remove the snake without incident. A courtesy check of the pool areas was conducted. I advised the staff that the large packrat nest just outside the pool fence should be dealt with. Additionally, there is a deep underground structure at the base of a cactus near the building that I recommend they backfill. Whilst completing the inspection, the staff called with a report of another snake. When I arrived back at that locale, I was able to identify the snake as a coachwhip and advised the staff to leave it be as it is non-venomous.

I was able to quickly contain the snake without incident. Per homeowner, this is the 2nd rattlesnake and 3rd snake visitor in a short period. I advised the homeowner to trim all the low bushes from the ground up to reduce cover. The homeowner and homeowners daughter have requested information for fencing and avoidance training for the dog.

The snake was discovered when they arrived home and got out of the car and saw it curled up right next to the garage door entrance. This neighborhood is small and surrounded by desert on three sides, so no surprise that the snake was in the area. Not sure if it spent the winter in the garage or if it just found its way in recently. I hiked the snake back out into the surrounding desert away from homes and found a large packrat nest that it should be able to use and hopefully have a better chance at survival than it would in this homeowner‘s garage.

With small children and pets, they wanted this snake to vacate the property. When I arrived, the snake was in the front yard under a cactus. The property was wide open with desert on all sides. He was safely relocated into a packrat nest southeast of the home.

Today, a second snake had apparently joined the first, and they were both coiled under an overhanging stone with a burrow behind it, shaded by a small Opuntia species of cactus. Snakes were older-looking male and female Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes. Temps were in the 60s and both snakes were sluggish. I have had multiple snake calls in this neighborhood over my tenure with RS.
2026-03-11 9:00 AM	Phoenix	85085	Western Diamondback Rattlesnake	The job site manager saw one of his workers looking down into a crack between a sidewalk and the concrete base of a light pole on the job site and then quickly jumped up and ran away. The site manager immediately knew that the worker had seen a snake and without investigating much closer called Rattlesnake Solutions for assistance. When I arrived I was directed towards the site manager who was standing a long distance from the spot where the rattlesnake was spotted and was verbally directed to the crack between the two concrete structures. The snake had not moved since being sighted and my arrival. It had to be gently coaxed out of the crack. After securing the rattlesnake I did a walk-through of the perimeter of the work site to inspect for other snakes, the work site is surrounded by concrete walls with a large entrance on each end, the facility is centered in a well-vegetated diverse desert habitat.
2026-03-11 1:00 PM	Scottsdale	85255	Western Diamondback Rattlesnake	The church was having a stack of doors moved out of their back storage area and one of the workers noticed a small baby Rattlesnake curled up outside of them, the worker used a nearby shovel to scoop it into an empty dry paint bucket. The church is on a large property adjacent to a great natural habitat on the back side where the storage area and snake was found. I took some time to look around their storage areas and peak into their storage sheds for any further snakes. No other snakes were found, and the baby rattlesnake was driven shortly up the road to the next safest natural habitat away from buildings.

2026-03-11 2:00 PM	Scottsdale	85255	Western Diamondback Rattlesnake	Staff called the hotline with a report of a western diamondback traveling from the pool area along a building. I arrived at the appropriate building and the staff observers immediately pointed out the snake. It was in a semi defensive posture and clearly agitated. The snake was removed without incident. A courtesy walk through of the area resulted in no additional snakes removed, however, there was a highly decomposed section of vertebrae and skin from what appeared to be a colubrid.

The snake eventually ended up in the front yard of a home where it continued to be watched closely by caller. I arrived on scene and was able to remove the snake without incident. \r\n\r\nThe caller stated that the property management company sent out a notice with our phone number to call when a snake needs to be removed.

As the water started to fill up the snake would move out further keeping its head above water. When I arrived, the gopher snake was most of the way out of the inlet and was captured and relocated into a nearby wash. The homeowner had a homeowner install snake fencing on their full-view fence with gaps in multiple places. The yard itself had plenty of low plants that any snake would enjoy.

The home was right next to a drainage area that led to more desert a little bit away. They have a little view fence section and one gate.

Hard to say whether or not the snake had just arrived or spent the winter down there but either way it was likely unable to escape so I’m glad it was spotted. Home borders the Reservation land to the south of Gilbert so the snake likely came from that area. Placed the snake into a large rodent burrow at the base of a palo verde tree where it will have a much better chance of survival.

The snake was immediately visible upon arrival at the scene and it was being watched from a safe distance by the caller. I removed the snake without incident and did a quick search of the perimeter of the community center building.

The snake fencing was not very effective, at the very least, because there was no fencing put on the sides or below the gate entering the back yard. While snake fencing doesnt prevent gophersnakes, the homeowner was very interested in having proper snake fencing for rattlesnakes installed throughout the yard. She asked for advice about preventing gophersnakes and kingsnakes from entering her yard and I explained how she could change her landscaping but that if it stays the same it provides great habitat, and also that they are harmless!

Thankfully the homeowner saw the snake and called us immediately to come remove it instead of killing it. I captured the rattlesnake and released it to nearby habitat in a rodent burrow.

The house was in the middle of the neighborhood with no washes or habitat in close proximity. There were gaps under both gates which would provide access but my assumption is the snake came home with her via the plant. Safely relocated to a rock pile that lined a wash.

2026-03-05 2:30 PM	Glendale	85310	Western Diamondback Rattlesnake	Client called with a report of a rattlesnake at a retirement home she manages/owns. \r\n\r\nStaff on site were able to observe the snake originating near the pool equipment and then settling into a coiled position against the perimeter wall. \r\n\r\nStaff directed me to the snake which I positively identified as a Western Diamondback. \r\nThe snake was removed without incident. \r\n\r\nDuring my courtesy inspection, I was able to determine that the snake was likely spending the winter under the pool equipment as there is a massive underground rodent structure with clear smoothing at the egress point, indicative of a snake exiting. \r\n\r\nThe only water source on the property was unable to reach the area so the client was advised to immediately employ someone to properly collapse/backfill the area and repair the broken travertine tiles by the pool.

This isn’t his first time calling us- he’s had several encounters with rattlesnakes on his property. When I arrived, the rattlesnake was already in a bucket, but still stuck in the piece of mesh. Situations like this require the proper training, tools, and patience to safely and successfully free a rattlesnake without causing harm to the snake or the individual trying to free it. I carefully and safely removed the mesh in a manner that kept myself safe and without causing any harm to the snake. Once freed, I found nearby habitat in its native range where I released it into an active packrat nest.

Upon arrival, several workers were watching the snake and it had crawled several feet away from the ac pad into a bush. I then attempted to capture the snake in a small bush but it went into a hole. I then flooded the hole out and eventually it came back out for capture. This is a fence customer so his backyard is fenced but the home sits between 2 washes and has good habitat overall.

They put it in a cooler and that’s where I got it. The community is very new not even on Google Maps yet with a lot of desert around it. The home has a partial view fence one gate. They really didn’t have much vegetation or places to hide in the yard.

She threw the cover down and went inside and did not know what kind of snake it was. The snake was still right by the cover when I arrived, it was a baby western diamondback rattlesnake. The home has a lot of desert just right across the street. The yard is very clean with not a lot of places to hide they have an all-blocked fence with two gates.

It had guts coming out of its cloaca. It must have been hit by a car. The road was busy with construction workers from all the new homes being built nearby. The home has a view fence and has a lot of great habitat around. They are right by the preserve.

Upon arrival, the snake was immediately identified as a Sonoran Gophersnake. In true Gophersnake fashion, it was aggressively hissing and striking. I was able to contain the snake without incident. A courtesy inspection of the front and rear yards was completed. Client was provided with advice on reducing desirability for snake activity. ie - trim large lantanas, eliminate potted plants near the entry way and keep items of the ground in the rear yard.

The young Western Diamondback had curled up inside of a small trash bin and stayed there until I picked it up. Not much habitat around here so this snake was probably lucky that these people spotted it and wanted it humanely dealt with. I had to take the snake a bit further away to some better habitat but since its not even a year old it will have a much better chance of surviving being out of that area. Snake relocated into deep cover or a rock retaining wall along a canal in south Gilbert.

Lots of toys on the patio and there were large gaps in the patio wall. Spoke to them about fencing and they were interested and requested to be contacted.

She ran inside so she didn’t know where the snake went. I searched the backyard but the snake was right by a wall gap that led to a nice desert wash behind the home. So I went back there and saw the snake coming out of a pack rat nest but when I grabbed it another rattlesnake also slithered out. I was at this house two days ago for two mating rattlesnakes in the back yard which I caught. They also said one day ago they had a rattlesnake in their front yard. Likely one of these two I caught today. The home has a view fence and a nice desert wash behind them.

The snake, a healthy male young adult Western Diamondback Rattlesnake was half-coiled on a folded rug with its head and first third resting on the cooler pavement a few inches lower. According to the homeowner the snake had been lazing there for the last two days and “he won’t leave”.

I searched the lantana and saw a Gophersnake inside. It was very dense, so I wasn’t able to grab it right away, and then it disappeared into the bush. There were a few holes under the bush and around the bush, so I started watering those out, but it never did come out. They were OK with leaving it since it wasn’t a rattlesnake. I searched the rest of the yard and did not find any rattlesnakes. They have a block fence with two gates and a gated courtyard. They are surrounded by good desert habitat next to their home.
2026-03-02 4:30 PM	Marana	85743	Western Diamondback Rattlesnake	Tenants in an Airbnb had seen a snake early in the afternoon at this property and the owner called from out of state to have us check it out. I had visited this property last year for a snake seen going under a hot tub and this call was identical. Though the witness had heard a “hissing sound” as the snake disappeared beneath the hot tub they thought it might not be a rattlesnake. After examining the yard, I found a rather dried-out-looking female Western Diamondback Rattlesnake coiled along the fence line. This property has a wash lined with dense brush directly over the fence and has multiple areas where snakes could move back and forth. A snake fence could be beneficial here.

He calmly alerted his parents who then called us to remove the snake. The brick wall around the back yard was the only thing separating the home from the very large Agua Fria riverbed. There was plenty of dense, overgrown landscaping, stacks of wood and brick, and easy access to the front yard. The snake could have very likely spent the winter sheltered somewhere on the property. I did a thorough search but did not find any other snakes.
