11:00 AM		 Phoenix 85032 Sonoran Gophersnake The homeowner heard her dog barking an odd bark and looked to see a large yellow snake slither into a rosemary up by her house in the back yard. I saw a large hole under the rosemary so I started to water it out. The snake came out and instantly started to drink a lot of water. It was a big healthy gophersnake. The home was a block down the road from the preserve. The heaviest vegetation in the yard was the rosemary which she said rabbits live in.

12:30 PM		 Phoenix 85020 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner saw the rattlesnake in his backyard last night. He took a pool net and pushed it out of his yard. He was still afraid that it might still be around so he wanted me to look. I searched in his backyard and I didn’t find the snake then I went to his front yard and nothing. Finally, I went to the side yard and the snake was coiled up next to an old target practice cushion on the ground. This home was built on a rocky mountainside. The yard itself didn’t have much cover. The snake was right by an AC unit which I think it had been under at some point.

2:00 PM		 Phoenix 85048 Blacktailed Rattlesnake Customer stated she saw a rattlesnake that was coiled in the corner near her front door and has been sitting there all day. We discovered it was a juvenile black-tailed rattlesnake near the front door. Her property was located on a hilly outcrop near a preserve which is more than likely where the snake originated from. Upon further inspection, no more snakes were found and the yard was very well-maintained and unkept, with no concern for the backyard from the customer.

3:00 PM		 Phoenix 85044 Chuckwalla The customer called and stated he was checking his pool filter when he spotted a lizard, believed to be a Gila monster due to its orange and black coloration. Upon arrival, we discovered it was a vibrant Chuckwala that was stuck in the pool filter. After the capture of the species, we ensured to check the rest of the large backyard, with no other wildlife being found. We did recommend rattlesnake fencing, as his property did back up to a huge open, desert preserve which is most likely where the lizard traveled from.

8:30 PM		 Phoenix 85083 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner called about a Western Diamondback that was near her front door. When I arrived the snake was still there, curled up next to some deflated Christmas blow-up decorations. The area backs right up to the Deem Hills preserve and the home has a wash that runs right behind it that comes directly from the nearby desert hill so the snake likely traveled through there and ended up at her front door. Some bushes that were overgrown in the front yard that I recommended she trim down, but ultimately the front porch faces North so it will always be an attractive spot for any animal looking for a shady day time spot. 8:30 PM		 Phoenix 85045 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Rattlesnake in backyard under milkweed bush. When I arrived at the home the owner was able to relocate the rattlesnake between two small potted plants butted up next to the wall in their backyard. The homeowner stated that the western diamondback had been living there all winter and they had heard it a few times since August but had just seen it today for the first time. They wanted the rattlesnake relocated since they have small dogs. I was able to easily secure the snake in my bucket and relocated off of a nearby trail.

10:30 AM		 Phoenix 85018 Gila Monster Gila monster that was previously living in a wash directly behind homeowner's yard on the side of Camelback Mountain. They no longer wanted it there due to fear of it coming in contact with their dogs. It was the first time the homeowner had ever seen it. I explained it had likely been living there unknown for quite some time as it was an adult and they have very small territories. Homeowner would like it removed as it did encroach into their backyard area and he was uncomfortable with it in his backyard or near his home. I was able to find a different wash outside of the neighborhood with a large rocky area and plenty of boulders for coverage less than 1 mile away.

12:00 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Caller reported a Western Diamondback in his rear yard while letting his dog out for a potty break. The snake sought a hiding spot under the pool equipment and remained there on high alert until I arrived. The snake was removed without incident. No other snakes removed. The homeowner is going to talk to his wife about fencing.

The home had two grassy parks by it and a desert mountainside across the street. The yard itself didn’t have too much cover a few plants out front and a shed in the back yard.

11:30 AM		 Phoenix 85048 Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake The homeowner called as they were servicing their tortoise water dishes in their tortoise pen in the back yard and noticed a white-ish Rattlesnake under the bowl so they called us for assistance with it. When I arrived they informed me the snake had moved into the shade of the nearby hose caddy. I went to the backyard tortoise pen and saw a beautiful large speckled Rattlesnake curled up under the hose caddy as claimed the snake was calmly transferred into the bucket where I then was able to hike up the nearby South Mountain trail away from any homes or buildings to release it into rocky cover. The home is situated in a neighborhood right up against the ideal habitat of the South Mountain Preserve.

11:30 AM		 Phoenix 85083 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A concerned citizen called with a report of a rattlesnake entering under a locked door by the public bathrooms at Deem Hills park. I was able to reach the park rangers via the police department. Once they finally arrived and unlocked the door, I was able to immediately see the snake sitting in ambush. I removed the snake without incident. No other snakes recovered.

8:30 PM		 Phoenix 85020 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner called saying there was a rattlesnake curled up by his front door way. When I arrived several neighbors were huddled in the driveway. The home is situated on a cliffside adjacent to the Phoenix mountain preserve with lots of rock covering and nearby habitat. The rattlesnake was as described curled up behind a large pot near the front doorway. The homeowner expressed concern over his dog who alerted him of the snake, so I educated them on rattlesnake fencing and rattlesnake aversion training both of which they were very interested in.

7:00 PM		 Phoenix 85050 Sonoran Gophersnake We got a call from the homeowners saying that there was a snake in their garage. I arrived to find a very tidy, and uncluttered space. There was almost nowhere for a snake to hide, and I was quickly able to check the entire area. I wanted to see about the gaps in the corners of the door, so I had them close it again for me. As I was looking for small spaces where a snake could enter or exit, we spotted the snake wedged up in the sections of the door. With the door open, the snake had been suspended just above our heads the entire time. It was thankfully unharmed. I did not find any additional snakes on the property, which was close to open, native habitat as well as a golf course.

8:30 AM		 Phoenix 85083 Sonoran Gophersnake Very nice couple who moved into this house 3 years ago. They are avid gardeners and have planted a lot of plants to eat with their Indian cooking. As well as a plethora of fruit trees. They have had rattlesnakes before, although, today it was just a sonoran gophersnake. Their neighbors have used our services so they decided to today and are interested in snake fencing for the future. Mostly block wall with side gate. Some areas where the block wall has gaps in corners.

3:30 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner contacted us after discovering a small rattlesnake at the bottom of a deep basement window well. There were recently hatched quail eggs at the top of the window well, and a dead baby quail at the bottom near the snake. The home sat on the boundary of lots of native desert on State Trust land. The yard had a lot of irrigated landscaping, piles of firewood, and lots of other places to hide. Surprisingly, no snake has ever been discovered on the property. I searched the property and did not find anything else.

8:30 PM		 Phoenix 85041 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake During the call with this nice and seemingly calm customer, he had stated to me that upon bringing groceries into the house he had spotted a large, confirmed rattlesnake that was coiled up in a corner near his house in the front courtyard, after his first gate. Once arrived, I quickly captured this gentle giant without a fight or single rattle and proceeded to inspect the rest of the property. I noticed there was a small gap under the fence where this healthy rattlesnake most likely gained entry from the desert wash in his side-front yard to his courtyard. The customer also mentioned this was not their first rattlesnake and they often see wildlife which often come from the wash next to their property and the preserve behind them. Overall, the rest of the property was very well maintained with little sheltered spaces for the diamondback to hide or spots for entry besides the fence gaps. Furthermore, no other wildlife was found upon inspection and after being given some water, I hiked this male western back into the preserve, where it could live out the rest of its life peacefully away from residence.

3:00 PM		 Phoenix 85022 Sonoran Gophersnake Caller reported a rattlesnake (identified by a family member) coiled by the front door. Upon arrival, I quickly identified the snake as a Sonoran Gophersnake. The snake was taking advantage of the shade and standing water in the potted plant overflow basin. The snake was removed without incident and no other snakes were recovered. The snake is missing a small portion of its tail and it has scarred over.

10:30 AM		 Phoenix 85044 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This was at a time share that is on south mountain preserve. The maintenance spotted the rattlesnake by the grills and put it in a bucket. This particular side of the complex has the mountain right next to it and I usually get most of my snake calls in this area.

1:00 PM		 Phoenix 85022 Sonoran Gophersnake Caller reported a large snake in the backyard amongst the potted plants. When I arrived, the snake’s head was poking out from inside a void in a clay pot. I was able to grab her as she exited the void. No other snakes were recovered.

9:30 AM		 Phoenix 85018 Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake The property manager was working on the home when he spotted the rattlesnake coiled by a side door. The snake was in a shady entry way. The home was built on a mountain side. The home was open to the mountain. I hiked the snake up from the back yard and relocated it near by. The homeowner was ok with that.

11:30 AM		 Phoenix 85048 Sonoran Gophersnake The homeowner heard his dog barking in the back yard, so he went and looked and saw the large snake. Not knowing what kind it was, he got the dog inside and watched the snake go behind a nearby paver that was leaned on the fence. It ended up being a gophersnake. They have lived in this home for 30 years without seeing a snake. The home had a grassy yard with very little vegetation. There was an elementary school across the street and a big drainage the lead to a desert hillside on the other side of the home.

11:30 PM		 Phoenix 85048 Nightsnake The homeowner called after spotting a Desert Nightsnake inside her home near the front door. She watched it crawl into a coat closet where her three cats kept watch until I arrived. The closet was full of items that had accumulated over the years, all of which had to be removed. I finally found the snake after removing the very last item from the closet. The homeowner thinks that it might have come in with an Amazon package that had been delivered earlier in the day. It is also possible that it found a way in through a very small gap in the front door. This was the second time that we have been called out to this Ahwatukee home to remove a Desert Nightsnake. No other snakes were found.

9:30 PM		 Phoenix 85042 Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake Maintenance worker at a South Phoenix apartment complex called about a speckled rattlesnake that was outside of a tenant’s door. The complex backs right up to South Mountain Preserve, so the snake clearly wandered into the complex from the surrounding hills and was probably unable to find its way back. The tenant said he had seen it multiple times throughout the day and finally decided to call in the evening when the snake didn’t seem to be moving along. South Phoenix

4:00 PM		 Phoenix 85085 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Dispatched a call for a rattlesnake coiled back yard. Arrived at the property and was escorted to the backyard by the customer. The backyard was very small maybe 12ftx10ft. Noticed juvenile atrox in ambush against the wall of the home. Captured snake using tongs with no issue. I suspect the snake came from a neighboring yard and was stuck in the small sliver of shade it was in. The yard was completely bare and I don’t think the snake would have stayed. Offered a fencing quote but the customer declined.

9:30 PM		 Phoenix 85020 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Received a call about a rattlesnake on the side patio. Arrived at home and was greeted by the family who showed me where they had last seen the snake move. The family said they saw a snake go under a small go-kart with a fabric covering it. I moved the go-kart and observed a small atrox in ambush in some plant debris. Captured snake using tongs and bucketed it with no issue. Performed inspection of front and backyard. No other snakes were found. Large property but has mostly brick walls surrounding it with several gate access points. The family said they have a large dog. Offered a free fencing quote and they accepted. I suspect the snake was traveling through the neighborhood from a nearby wash. The customer also stated the neighborhood block has seen a lot of construction recently.

10:00 AM		 Phoenix 85050 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Caller reported a rattlesnake on the back patio. Upon arrival, the homeowner walked me to a kitchen window to show me the snake. I was able to immediately identify the snake as a large male Western Diamondback. The snake was currently in the process of ingesting what appeared to be a Gambels Quail. The snake had only consumed about 1/3rd of the bird. I was able to bucket both the snake and the bird without regurgitation. Upon inspecting the property, I noted a water feature at the pool comprised of large boulders, some of which offered a great deal of space in between with multiple thermal zones. Additionally, the yard has existing fencing, but it was done in a very poor and unprofessional fashion. The fencing is virtually useless. The client was advised of the problem areas and she has agreed to a fencing quote.

10:30 AM		 Phoenix 85044 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The complex is getting painted, and one of the painters almost stepped on a western diamondback that was coiled by an AC unit. The snake then went into a rodent hole going under the ac cement pad. I started to water it out. It took about 20 minutes for it to come out enough for me to grab it. It kept stopping to take a drink. The complex is built on South Mountain Preserve.

It rattled and slithered under a nearby bush. Her home is bordered by the preserve on two sides, just across the street. The yard had some vegetation here and there, but I think the snake was there because of the proximity to the preserve.

It rattled at someone as they walked in and that’s how they noticed it. This building had the preserve right across the street and a little bit of desert on one side of the facility.

10:00 PM		 Phoenix 85045 Tiger Rattlesnake The customer called with a rattlesnake curled up under some packages on the front porch. They were able to keep an eye on it until I arrived. When I arrived, I found the gorgeous South Mountain tiger curled up in the same position. I was able to easily secure the small snake in the bucket and relocate it. The snake most likely traveled down one of two nearby washes.

Thankfully, the dogs did not go up to the snake and they ran inside. The snake was coiled up on the back patio when I arrived. The home backed right up to the preserve. They also had chickens in their backyard.

Home is right on the Phoenix Mountain Preserve and has plenty of attractive and usable habitat for any desert animal. The small closet was nice and cool and the Speckled rattlesnake was gravid so she most likely was planning on being there for a while.

9:30 PM		 Phoenix 85031 Albino corn snake Homeowners in the middle of well-developed Phoenix called stating they saw an orange snake go underneath their refrigerator. When I arrived I could see rat droppings around the base of the refrigerator and had to pull the refrigerator forward when a rat jumped out from behind it. The homeowners had a wood panel taped to the back wall behind the refrigerator where I told them I believe the snake must have gone behind as there was a small Gap that a snake could crawl into. When I removed the tape and the wood panel, there was a large albino motley corn snake and I explained to the homeowners that this is a pet snake and they were not familiar with the snake at all. It was not one of their pets and they said they lived there for 10 years. So I took the snake with me where I will potentially keep it as a pet.

10:30 PM		 Phoenix 85054 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Received a call about a rattlesnake in a backyard. Arrived at home and met customers in the backyard who were watching the snake from a safe distance. I observed an atrox in ambush along a pool fence line that ran perpendicular to the view fence. Performed inspection and there were several areas along the view fence that a snake could have gotten into. Customers have a few small dogs who spend time in yard. The customer stated this is the first snake they’ve noticed in the backyard. Offered a free fencing quote and the customer accepted. No other snakes found.

7:30 AM		 Phoenix 85083 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was in her backyard doing yard work when she spotted the snake by her shed. I capture the snake exactly where she last saw it. This yard is a snake's paradise. She has a lot of heavy vegetation. She feeds the birds and I saw a lot of rabbits. She also has a garden and waters a lot. Her yard is across the street from the desert preserve.

11:00 PM		 Phoenix 85050 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Received a call about a rattlesnake in the front area of the home. Gave the customer an ETA of an hour since I was on a call in Maricopa. Arrived at home and met the customer in the front yard. The customer lost sight of the snake. Performed a quick inspection of the front yard and eventually found a young atrox crawling east towards a wash. Captured snake using tongs with no issue. The customer stated they first noticed a snake under a small shrub near the front door and it buzzed them. Performed an inspection of the back yard as well and no other snakes were found.

This home in North Phoenix was in a development just across the street from a large area of native desert. The yard had plenty of irrigated landscaping, but the shaded area around the front door was significantly cooler than the sunny front yard only feet away. I searched both the front and back yards and did not find any other snakes.

The garden was not that dense but it was early in the morning and not hot. The snake was still in ambush from the night. 10:30 PM		 Phoenix 85045 Nightsnake A homeowner in Ahwatukee called about an unknown snake inside his home that he had trapped under a bucket. When I arrived I discovered that the mystery snake was a Nightsnake. There were some minor issues with the trim around the edge of the front door but nothing glaringly obvious so the snake very easily could have entered the home via an open door, hard to say for sure but I recommended the homeowner just ensure all entrances to the home are properly sealed to prevent snakes from entering the home in the future.

9:00 PM		 Phoenix 85054 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A call by nighttime security at the American Express offices in North Phoenix to Burns Pest Elimination was transferred to us to remove a rattlesnake. I have been contacted by Burns in the past to remove a snake from this same location. The campus is comprised of several large office buildings and is surrounded by a small and quickly shrinking area of native desert. When I arrived, security personnel had already caught the young snake and had it waiting for me in a bucket. Considering the future development in the surrounding area, I decided to relocate the snake slightly further away from the spot of capture than I usually would.
