Used hands to capture the snake and let customers take photos. Bucketed the snake with no incident, snake was noted to be mellow. Performed inspection of rest of the house and no other snakes found. Performed inspection of the backyard. Very large backyard 1 acre plus. Back wall lined with oleander on all sides. Several fruit trees. Yard is irrigated with numerous places for snake to hide. Several areas in front gate where snake can easily enter. Pointed all these out to customer and provided education on snake behavior. Informed customer that gophersnakes do well in urbanized areas but chance of rattlesnake encounter are low in the area. |
