The fire department did not take the snake far enough away and the snake was back in the same place today. So they called us to come out and remove it further away.

2019-03-03 1:00 PM	Tucson	85741	Sonoran Gophersnake	Tearing down an old shed and customer saw what he thought was a large rattlesnake. Under the floor boards found a 48" fat and healthy gopher snake. Multiple shed skins as well as a family of pack rats. Customer decided to let me leave the snake, but mentioned he was going to spread some rat poison in the area. I convinced him that the snake could become a victim of the poison by consuming infected rodents and the snake was relocated to some nearby habitat.

Typically coiled in the same area near the house. A good food supply and nearby water led to this snake "living under the house" for quite a long period. Snake was fat and healthy with an attitude to boot.

Home owner sent me a photograph to identify but could not be more specific than that it was not a rattlesnake, and gave the option to leave it in place or have us out. Home owner opted to have us come out, where it was discovered that the snake was actually a Tiger Whiptail, looking to be displaced and a bit rough from recent rainfall.

Once I left I received call about a second snake found in different location. When I arrived snake was observed sitting in concrete Brick. Both snakes were safely removed and relocated.

Upon arrival air conditioning workers killed 2 rattlesnakes and released 1 Gophersnake. Supposedly there is still 1 more diamondback. Tuesday morning I will return same time as workers and inspect area again for remaining one.

They called the security team who came out but failed to catch it, and it went into a hole under a large bush and disappeared. The homeowners called us to come give it a shot, and we were able to find the snake and inform the owners about the reasons the snake was there and how to prevent more.
