Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner called after seeing a rattlesnake near the pool in his backyard. He went back inside the house to grab a better flashlight, and when he came back out, the snake was gone. I arrived about 45 minutes later and searched the yard until I found the snake coiled up near the pool pump. This was a large yard with a lot of cover from both landscaping and general clutter. The block wall surrounding the backyard had many drain holes that appeared to be roughly filled with mortar and blocked off with pavers.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake One of the homeowners family members stepped out of her car and was buzzed by a rattlesnake that was hanging out in front of their double gate. The gate was well sealed so the snake was stuck hanging out in the front yard. Easy capture and release into a nearby packrat nest that was surrounded by a wash and a large mud pit that I almost fell in.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner saw the two rattlesnakes coiled up against his house in his front yard. This was a large male and a large female rattlesnake; they were not locked up. The yard itself was very clean with not a lot of heavy vegetation, but there was a lot of natural desert in between the homes and he’s across the street from a preserve. He has a block fence with one gate.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner had heard a rattle in the garage two days in a row when getting out of his car. He hadn’t seen the snake but was sure it was in the garage somewhere. Once in the garage, I started tapping my tongs on the ground, and sure enough, the rattles started. The snake was in the corner of the garage near the water softener. There was no clear entry point, as the garage was well sealed, so I imagine the snake entered when the garage door was open. Quick grab and release into a pack rat nest surrounded by open desert.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This is a fence customer of ours. She was moving plywood in the back yard when she saw the rattlesnake coiled behind a piece in the back yard. She has been having work done on her home and they have been leaving the gate open. The snake likely got in that way. I did see some mesh pushed up and a little bigger gap than I think there should be on their back gate. The home has a lot of desert around it and in between the homes.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The home owner called very concerned after hearing a rattling noise in her garage after arriving home in her car. She did not see anything, but believed it was a rattlesnake. This house is located near a golf course, has a view fence and has desert landscaping behind it. At some point, snake fencing was installed by someone around the perimeter. As soon as she opened the garage door remotely, I spotted a rattlesnake and was able to safely secure it. The snake was relocated nearby in a packrat nest.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner had his pest company out, and they noticed the rattlesnake half out of the rodent box. The snake was clamped on its side. I was able to safely get it out. It appeared like the clamp got all skin and it just looked a little sore where it was clamped. The snake should be perfectly fine. The home had a drainage right beside it and had a desert hillside not far from it. The courtyard where the snake was had a running fountain and a lot of vegetation.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake A small western diamondback rattlesnake was seen in the garage. Luckily he did not travel far when I arrived and had moved from a stack of cardboard boxes to under the shoe rack. This couple rents but is interested in a fencing quote for their backyard and the owner of the home is interested in this as well.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner noticed a big pile of poop on her garage floor. When she moved the trash can that was near it she noticed the rattlesnake coiled up behind it. The garage floor had just been redone three weeks ago and the garage was very clean. The snake could have been in a nearby closet in the garage without being seen. They had a gap in the garage door. The home had desert all around it and throughout the other homes.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was walking by his pool in the back yard when he saw the neonate diamondback floating by the skimmer. Thankfully, the snake was ok, a little cold but ok. This back yard didn’t have much for deep cover. I’m not sure where this little one was thinking about hibernating. The home had some desert between the homes.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The client called the hotline with a report of a rattlesnake near the rear sliding glass door. The client and his small dogs passed within the immediate vicinity of the snake and it went unnoticed until the snake alerted by rattling. The client had retrieved a shovel with the intent to dispatch the snake, but decided it was “too large” to attempt to kill. The western diamondback was removed without incident and no further activity was found. The snake was likely overwintering in a drainage pipe that was up against the home in the side yard. The pipe was about a foot or two under the earth. This was only about ten feet from where the snake was seen and it was the only deep cover around. There is a lot of desert patches throughout this community.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner heard his dogs barking at something outside, so he went to investigate and found the two mating rattlesnakes by his pool equipment. The snakes tails were intertwined when I walked up but I’m not sure if they were actually locked up. I scooped them both up together. The pool equipment did have a hole going underneath the pad. Which could have been a spot one or both were hanging out before being seen. The home had a nice desert area right behind it but no other really good hiding place in the yard.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Rattlesnake on patio assisted living facility. By the time I got there, it had moved and disappeared. I searched the property and found a wooden pallet with remnants of a rodent nest under it covered in old cinderblocks. It looked like a den situation, so I used water and carefully disassembled the blocks. I found the snake under it and captured it. No others found, but searched the property and advised.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner heard her dog barking at something and then she saw the rattlesnake in her backyard. She ran inside so she didn’t know where the snake went. I searched the backyard but the snake was right by a wall gap that led to a nice desert wash behind the home. So I went back there and saw the snake coming out of a pack rat nest but when I grabbed it another rattlesnake also slithered out. I was at this house two days ago for two mating rattlesnakes in the back yard which I caught. They also said one day ago they had a rattlesnake in their front yard. Likely one of these two I caught today. The home has a view fence and a nice desert wash behind them.

Scottsdale 85266 Sonoran Gophersnake The homeowner had recently drained their pool and was in the process of refilling it when they saw the head of a snake poke out from an inlet at the bottom of the pool. As the water started to fill up the snake would move out further keeping its head above water. When I arrived, the gopher snake was most of the way out of the inlet and was captured and relocated into a nearby wash. The homeowner had a homeowner install snake fencing on their full-view fence with gaps in multiple places. The yard itself had plenty of low plants that any snake would enjoy.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner called with a report of a rattlesnake in the pool. The homeowner was envenomated by a neonate western diamondback this last November and hospitalized. The snake was posted behind the waterfall feature of the pool when I arrived. I was able to remove it without incident. A comprehensive search of the property was conducted; no additional snakes were removed. I highly recommend snake fencing to these folks given the incident that occurred last year and their very open backyard with plentiful reptile resources nearby and on property. The client also has 2 dogs that I recommended they get training for.

Scottsdale 85266 Mojave Rattlesnake The homeowner spotted this baby Mojave next to her garage door (outside) after pulling into the garage. The house had a wash on the west side of it and open desert just south which is where I believe this guy came from. The snake had moved to the same rock next to the driveway by the time I arrived and this is where I found it. Safely captured and relocated south of the property into a packrat nest.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The customer spotted a western diamondback underneath a rug on his back porch while taking the garbage out. He saw the head pop up and the tongue flicker. When I arrived the snake was no longer under the rug or anywhere near the patio. After a long game of hide and seek, I found him on the side of the house between a stack of roof tiles and the block fence. The snake was relocated north of the property into a packrat nest that was right underneath a large tree.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was cleaning up after her dog in a corner of her back yard when she nearly stepped on a Western Diamondback. After calling us, she watched it move from the back yard to the front yard and into a bush. The bush had a packrat nest inside of it and she asked that I remove the bush in order to get to the nest. I removed both the bush and the nest but did not find the snake. I then moved to a large non native cactus which was also near where they had seen the snake. I began to flood the area under the cactus and eventually spotted and was able to remove the snake. The woman was extremely upset and stressed during the entire service, which ended up taking several hours. She wasn't upset with us, just at the situation, which was made worse because it was getting late. After capturing the snake, I took a look at the fence. I did not find a single place where I thought a snake could enter the property. She is having renovations done to the home so there is a handyman moving in and out of the gate on a regular basis. But this woman has a service dog and is extremely careful about the gate being closed at all times.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Last night James went out to this Airbnb property for a rattlesnake under an underground trampoline. There was no access under the trampoline so he was not able to get the snake. I went out today and the maintenance crew lifted the trampoline for me so I could hop down. There were bricks down there that the snake wedged behind and with some water, I was able to get the snake out. The property had a very large yard and had a lot of state land across the street. The baby rattlesnake was healthy so I don’t think it was down there for long but it would not have been able to get out on its own.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Received a call regarding two rattlesnakes in the backyard. When I arrived, the customer greeted me in the driveway and escorted me to the backyard. The customer stated he had captured one with a golf club and put it in a 5-gallon bucket with another 5-gallon bucket stacked on top of it to seal it. I peeked inside and noticed a large female atrox. The real work began when the customer showed me the pool equipment storage area where he said “the bigger one” was. The customer pointed out a gap underneath the eaves of the wall below their back patio. There were a few pumps with hoses, wires, and conduits running parallel to the wall that were above and in front of the gap. When I initially flooded the hole the male atrox appeared but stayed close to the gap and within all the hoses and conduits. I utilized the tongs several times to attempt to capture but the snake had itself wrapped between the equipment and hoses and I was not successful. Continued flooding and observing in about 10-15 min increments. There were several times when a large shed would flush out but no snake. I would have to stop each time to allow the water pooling up inside the area to drain. Snake reappeared after my 4th attempt of flooding but remained on the breach of the gap. Used the hose to gently spray the snake directly and it darted out to the side opposite of the gap where I was able to successfully capture it with my tongs. Massive atrox. The biggest I’ve personally seen. At least 4ft and likely bigger. Very heavy snake. Bucketed him with no incident. The snake was actually very mellow considering everything I put him through. The snake was old and I suspect had lived there for years considering all the development within the area (The Boulders). The customer stated that when he purchased the home that the builder said that he believed a snake was living in that location. The customer stated he is interested in fencing around the pool equipment area but I do not think the customer has an actual fence that runs around his backyard.

Scottsdale 85266 Sonoran Gophersnake Her landscapers saw the snake yesterday in her side yard, near her garden. It was tangled in some netting and she decided to call today to have it removed. Poor snake had been out there awhile thankfully the weather has been cool. The snake did have some scale damage where the netting was cutting into its body. It had a few eggs in its belly that got it hung up. The homeowner had a garden and backed up to a golf course with a view fence. There were patches of desert throughout the community.

Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Unit 68. This is a fence customer of ours. The snake was in the driveway and was accidentally run over. The snake did have some guts hanging out but was acting fine. I took the snake to the vet to receive care. Dr. Driggers took X-rays and no bones were broken. He stitched the snake back up and said to wait a few months before relocating.

Scottsdale 85266 Mojave Rattlesnake After receiving a call, the customer had stated she had originally spotted and confirmed a rattlesnake in her backyard when she went to let her dog out. However, she was comfortable enough to watch it until my arrival, and upon my arrival, it had moved under her gate into her front yard, where I was then able to capture it near some dead foliage. After the capture, I then made sure to inspect the rest of her property, but found nothing else. The customer had also stated this was not their first rattlesnake call and had used our company in the past as well. Her property was very close to a desert preserve, with multiple entry points into her backyard for the rattlesnake, and a huge shaded area on her side property that she shares with the neighbor, full of shrubs and foliage for shade, which is most likely the reason for its presence on the property. Upon capture of this young Mojave, I then returned it back to the desert preserve and hiked it away from all the residential areas to live out the rest of its life.

Fort McDowell 85264 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Arrived and found large western diamondback rattlesnake taking shelter under some plastic planters in the shade. Area where snake was found is in the center of a farm. A walk around of the farm revealed a significant amount of clutter and evidence of rodents but no significant evidence that snakes had been spending significant time in the area however with the wealth of hiding places and water sources it is likely. The property sits at the mouth of a large and resource rich wash that is likely a pathway for rattlesnakes coming from the preserve area

85264 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake This was at a rental property that does retreats surrounded by nothing but good desert habitat. Yesterday, when they were getting ready for an event inside, what used to be a garage area with garage doors, they spotted a rattlesnake between some chairs. She thought it was dead, so she just left it. Today, when they went to remove the snake because they’re having their event, they noticed it wasn’t there. It was coiled underneath the chairs, so they knew it was alive, and they called me to come and remove it. The garage doors did have some gaps where it could get in and there were areas within this garage that it could have hidden for the majority of the winter without being seen. The whole property was on a desert hillside with miles and miles of desert surrounding it.

Rio Verde 85263 None I arrived on the Logan property at 10:30, and it was 55 degrees and windy. Unfortunately, the rain from the night did wipe out many of the indicators to correctly track and pinpoint vermin location. With that being said, it was still fairly evident that more uprooting of the landscape has escalated even further since my last visit. The photographs I included last time did a decent job illustrating the extent and severity of damage, but these photos will better illustrate the scale at which these animals are working, and how close to the household they are getting. It is crucial that some pest management is undertaken, as it would be a shame to watch these creatures destroy more of the Logan’s beautiful property than they already have
