He was afraid he’d get venoms on himself so he called to have it removed. I searched around his back yard which had a fountain and several good bushes to hide under. He had a view fence that backed up to desert. He had his landscaper do his fencing which was half inch mesh not tall enough and the gate had big gaps.

9:30 AM		 Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Last night they where sitting on the back patio when one of there guests was bit in the calf by a baby rattlesnake. They put it in a bucket and called me today. While searching around I found a juvenile rattlesnake under a mini fridge on the back patio. The lady ended up being allergic to both anti venoms so it was worse than expected. The yard is open but has a lot of desert around it. They are just renting so fencing is not an option. There was a hot tub on the patio that could have been a place the snake was hanging out.

8:00 PM		 Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Neonate western diamondback was seen by the homeowner on their porch while putting their horses away for the night. This five acre property had plenty of places for snakes to thrive. My guess is it was behind I small gate right next to the barn where the AC unit was. This area had scrap plywood on the ground, a water source, and obvious rodent activity. The snake was relocated east of the property into a hole in the side of a wash.

It went under a lantana by the back patio and I got it out from under there. The yard didn't have much cover besides this lantana. They had some desert throughout the community.

11:30 AM		 Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The homeowner was getting some hay out of the barn when she noticed a rattlesnake in a pallet that was stacked beside the barn. The snake was about three pallets high. When I tried to grab it the snake went down under the pallets. I took the stack apart and discovered pack rat activity and a large hole. I started flooding the massive hole and on the opposite side of the barn water started to come out and eventually so did the snake. This is a horse property we get a few snake here a year. They have a large property surrounded by desert.

Arrived and was told by customer that rattlesnake was dumped over back fence. Today, she was sitting in her backyard doing work and 2 rats ran right past her. Upon investigation found the same diamondback causing around the rock feature where rodents have been entering. Captured rattlesnake. Flooded hole as much as possible. No snakes present but due to heavy shade and customer water feature, told her to keep her eyes peeled.

She then noticed the rattlesnake stuck to the sticky trap right in the corner of the garage. She thought they would leave but after a few hours she called us. The garage door had big gaps in it while it was shut. I was able to catch the gophersnake coiled up in the back of the garage. The rattlesnake wasn’t stuck too bad and it was safely removed unharmed. The home had a little wash right beside it. It also had some more open desert a few homes down.

The courtyard was surrounded by a 3’ tall concrete wall with 2 gates that had open access both underneath and on the sides. The home was surrounded by desert with clear noise/rat activity all around. The snake was relocated just south of the property into a network of rat tunnels just off of a wash.

The snake then slithered around onto the porch and then she lost sight of it. After a good search I found it coiled up in a rosemary bush. The back yard was large with lots of random things on the ground. They had a block fence with a gate. There was a wash near by and some pockets of desert by the other homes.

Captured rattlesnake and cleared yard. Snake likely entered through side yard gate which leads to wash and golf course that is very rich with habitat. Customer attempted to put small amount of mesh on bottom of gate but it is no sufficient. Customer interested in rattlesnake fencing. Customer does not seem to be the homeowner, rather the homeowners daughter

The snake was slithering along the back fence with a belly full of something. It tried several times to get through the view fence, but its swollen belly kept getting in the way. It eventually coiled under a bush in the backyard. The yard was large with a lot of vegetation, though all the plants were still very young. The homeowner had a bird feeder and birdbaths, and there was some natural desert behind the view fence. I noticed some feathers near the bush where she first saw the snake, so it may have caught a bird.

The snake was found on the porch by the homeowner, who was able to carefully monitor it until it was safely placed in a bucket and relocated to nearby natural desert away from the community. The property had a block wall and a view fence, and the homeowners were very interested in snake fencing. Their pest control contractor had previously installed some, but it was not bolted down at the bottom and was not long enough. They are snowbirds from Seattle and are leaving in a week.

The front of the house was wide open with many access points, though the backyard had already been protected with rattlesnake fencing. The snake had just eaten something three times its size and was not very nimble, so it was an easy capture and relocation into a large pack rat nest west of the property.

There was open-view fencing, drain blocks, and gaps under the double gate, providing multiple access points. The snake was relocated to a pack rat nest.

9:00 AM		 Scottsdale 85266 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Homeowner in North Scottsdale called about a western diamondback rattlesnake in his backyard. By the time I got there, it had moved from where he last saw it. I looked around all the easy areas as there were some decent spots to hide, and the yard had some snake fencing but definitely still had small gaps for entry and exit points in the side gate. Began flooding underneath a large shed that was near where he last saw the snake and about 25 minutes later the little guy poked his head out. Snake was released into a packrat nest next to a wash in a nearby patch of desert.

The couple who lives there bought the home with rattlesnake fencing already installed. They were under the impression it had been done by us, but it clearly had not. The mesh holes were too large and not secured in the view fence, and only some of the drainage holes in the block wall were secure. There was a gap/damage in the side gate rattlesnake fencing, which appears to be how the snake entered the backyard and then could not find an exit.
