I arrived at her house 15 minutes after call and was unable to find anything. There were numerous the snake could have came in and exited. She had not seen snake for 15 minutes before I had gotten there. I searched area very thoroughly with no finds. She had many different hiding places that I addressed. Once I was complete with inspection her house nanny showed me video of the “rattlesnake “ that turned out to be a gophersnake. Once I distinguished identification of snake she felt much better that I was unable to find it. End of report.

I searched through the area and found snake leaning against back fence trapped in by the semi decent snake fence. I later learned that they had seen snake an hour and a half prior and someone told me differently. While looking through property I inspected large rock pile that had a shed skin from a western diamondback. I also found many rodents under different concrete slabs. Much of the properties grass was up to my shins or knees. The entire property sat next to a large wash. All of the factors listed were a high concern. I told her ways that could help reduce the snakes from staying around. She is interested in fencing. End of report.

I did find rodent activity in and around grill island. Concern areas for fencing will include front gate to courtyard along with wide drainage hole also in courtyard. Backyard there was fence with no mesh around. That’s his priority area he would like fenced. Along with perimeter wall drainage pipes (3 total ). Only one drainage pipe lead directly to backyard. No snakes were found actively on inspection, but recently had fire department out for 2 separate rattlesnakes. End of report.

The wall was in front of the parking area and the snake was spending the heat of the day in a small drainage pipe. The pipe went about 4 feet in and the snake must`ve had just enough room to turn around.

All that was found was a desert spiny lizard making loud noises moving around boxes. That may be the culprit to the noise. A large wash behind the property obviously supports a population. 19" Western Diamondback 4c that went from the parking area to the front patio.

This morning a snake was found in backyard near door so she wanted us to look for active snake along with giving advice on how to reduce snake activity in yard. She had a perimeter wall with many breaches throughout fenced area. I did find 2 pack rats. 1 in backyard and one behind fence. She also had a lot of different large over grown plants and large rock wall. All near each other. I explained trimming up plants and reducing shade will help. I also explained that she should probably have pest control assist with all of the active rodents she had. She is interested in fencing. Once she looked at picture of a few common snakes found around the area she thought the snake from the morning was possibly a gophersnake. But without picture or confirmation she was told to stay cautious in case of rattlesnake. End of report.

No finds. I played a video of a gophersnake in defensive display hissing loudly and she thought the noise was similar. She has had 3 rattlesnakes found at her residence this year. She was told to always stay vigilant while being out gardening and never reach her hands where she cannot see. End of report.

While searching perimeter of shed I lifted a ladder and saw the snake. Before I was even able to use my tongs snakes moved very quickly under shed. A garden hose was used to drive snake out. She sent me a picture via cellphone and I was able to identify it as a gophersnake. She still wanted me to come out. I searched bush area near common parking where the snake was last scene 50 minutes prior. I also searched lArge rock pile nearby as well. Unfortunately customer was to frightened to keep eye on snake inevitably giving the snake an opportunity to flee in a different direction. No snake found. End of report.

An easy fencing job to secure the courtyard as there is one gate that needs some work. No other entry points. Backyard has two gates, but other entry points can`t be addressed as they are from trees, branches, vines and various other vegetation. Customer will probably go with securing just the courtyard.

Contact by phone for fence referral. A large portion of the back cannot be made safe, but the pool area can. There are only a couple of entry points. Another note: Found a 38" Atrox at the release point.
2019-06-04 1:00 PM	Tucson	85750	None	Customer called about inspection because of her dog being envenomated by rattlesnake in backyard. Her back and front yard were searched very thoroughly. No finds. All areas of interest were searched and any deep hole or cover was flooded with garden hose. She was advised to contact local pest control to help with her active rodent issue. Also advised to trim up grass and bushes to reduce shade source. She did have several breaches around perimeter wall. One of the areas led to neighboring house which in polite terms was a hoarder house yard. Recommended to seal off all areas with 1/4 inch steel mesh. She may ask us for estimate at some point to have work done correctly. End of report.
