The customer found it swimming in their pool unable to escape. It’s only about 50° right now so the snake was very lethargic and generally difficult to handle on a hook because of its inability to righy itself.

I assumed it would be a diamondback but when I got there I found a gopher snake in shed and in relatively poor condition for its size. I believe it may have been trapped in the garage for sometime

It's the last house on the street so that is likely why there are snakes there. I inspected the property and found no major issues, but suggested a few spots that could be tightened up to prevent rattlesnakes from coming into the yard.

She thought her patio was snake proof but there was a big enough gap for snakes to get in. She has a view fence and the preserve is right on the other side of it I recommend fencing to her.

The neighborhood has a lot of horse properties and desert around.
