Cave Creek 85262 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The pest control guy was checking the rodent traps when he saw the big western Diamondback under the grill clamped. The snake was clamped in two spots. The snake unfortunately had died. It was ice cold and not moving. It didn’t seem like it had died to long ago so I still put it in a pack rat nest. The snake froze to death because it couldn’t escape the clamps. The homeowner saw the same snake a week ago when it snuck in their garage while it was open. They just showed it out. The yard has a view fence and is surrounded by desert. They will be renting the house out and want fencing.

Cave Creek 85331 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake Received call about baby rattlesnake in customer’s back yard. When I arrived to property I was met by customer and escorted to back yard. Customer stated the snake was on the move. Customer pointed out the direction the snake was going. Noted juvenile atrox behind large bush. Utilized tongs to capture and bucket snake with no issue. Performed inspection of backyard. Desert wash running to SE of customer’s property. Brick wall about 1/2 meter tall with fence atop. Fence had chicken wire on it. Entire fence line had Pyracantha vines. Pointed this out to customer who stated there was nothing he could do because the vines were 10 years old and he would not cut them. Yard kept neat but many plants where snake could seek refuge from heat. Pointed out all areas to customer and provided education on snake behavior. Advised customer to be aware when he trims Pyracantha as he stated he does this often. I suspect snake entered yard from the wash by climbing up Pyracantha and through the fence. Customer declined fencing quote.
