When I caught the snake I noticed it had been ran over. Half the snakes body was twisted around. The homeowner had the garage door open about a foot to air it out. So I’m thinking the snake came in and when she pulled out she ran it over and didn’t see it until she pulled back in. It’s a rainy cold day out today. The snake may make it but I’m pretty sure it broke some vertebrae.

It cruised around to the back of the yard and that’s where I got it. The home has a large wash behind it. They have a partial view fence and one gate.

The gentleman went out to get the bricks and bring them in when he heard a rattle and ran inside. I saw the ring camera video and he did run lol. The home backs up to south mountain.

This home is surrounded by desert and a lot that is getting bulldozed so lots of activity. They have a large yard with a wire fence. They have chickens as well.

The likely point of ingress was a double side gate with a large clear space underneath. The snake was quiet until I moved to grab it then it was instantly very active and mobile, striking and hard to contain in the bucket

The homeowner attempted to quire it away from home with a long pool net, but the opposite happened. The snake ended up slithering in the corner near the front door and behind a wooden “Welcome” sign. When I arrived the snake was in the same place as told on the phone. It was quite defensive. I was able to capture without incident. I also did a courtesy inspection to look for any additional snakes. I found a Desert Nightsnake as well. I educated the homeowner about the nightsnake and he decided that the nightsnake could stay. No more rattlesnakes were found. End of report.

The neonate western diamondback was under some plywood on the site. There was a snake shed under the wood too, it had just shed.

She watered the hole out last night and a Sonoran desert toad came out. She google it and found out it was poisonous plus she watches our Tik toks so she knew it was harmful. I watered out the hole and after it filled up I was able to catch the toad it was the size of a tennis ball.

Likely driven so far from the preserve due to construction in the area. I suspect that it followed the wall that separates the neighborhood from the 51 freeway. Snakes tail damage didn’t seem to effect its health, but it was unable to rattle. Seemed like it had paralysis an inch or so above the tail, as the rattle just kind of dangled there no matter what the snake was doing. Tail damage could have been from construction.

I received a call from a homeowner about a possible rattlesnake being heard in a bush in front of house. The homeowners parents had heard loud buzzing noises coming from a bush located in front of the homeowners house and they had alerted the homeowner who then gave a call to Rattlesnake Solutions. While driving to the location I received another call from the homeowner about another possible rattlesnake being heard by their parents in the bushes across from the original, meaning possibly two animals present. Upon arriving I quickly determined that the noises were not rattlesnakes, but instead the annual cicadas singing in the nearby trees. After a thorough search of the bushes in question and the remaining brush on the property, I was unable to locate any snakes. As such, I informed the homeowners parents of the best way to reduce the chances of a snake staying on the property, such as clearing all the brush that had grown on the property as well as discussed with them various snake species they might encounter in the future, including harmless and beneficial species that are fine to keep around such as Sonoran Gopher Snakes, California Kingsnakes, and Coachwhip Snakes.

But then it disappeared, fearing for his dogs he wanted me to look around. I searched the front nothing. I went into the back and just on the side yard there it was cruising through the back yard. This home is right on a little mountain with a view fence.
