Paradise Valley 85253 Kingsnake Kingsnake found in irrigation box in the backyard of a Paradise Valley home with dense foliage, a pool, and a garden. I inspected the rest of the yard and did not find any additional snakes. The homeowner was not aware that their fencing is out of warranty, so I sent the information to the fencing team.

Paradise Valley 85253 Sonoran Gophersnake Sonoran gophersnake found on porch two days in a row, not previously observed at this location. Homeowner requested removal and wondered if it had been living in the far corner of the yard for a long time, as she had recently begun destroying packrat nests and believes she may have destroyed its food source and disrupted the backyard ecosystem. Snake was found behind a large patio couch and relocated to a nearby mountain preserve.

Paradise Valley 85253 Sonoran Gophersnake Homeowner saw a snake sunbathing in her grass and wanted it removed. Snake was unfortunately deceased upon arrival. I personally think it was due to a neighbor's domesticated cat but unclear cause of death. She is a previous customer and she said she is currently getting rattlesnake fencing bids to be installed by us.

Paradise Valley 85253 Sonoran Gophersnake The homeowner just moved in a short while ago. He called about a rattlesnake in the backyard. Upon arrival, I was able to identify the snake as a Sonoran Gophersnake. The yard has SOME protective measures taken, but the homeowner would like to have the fencing team come out and quote to seal it properly. No additional snakes were recovered.

Paradise Valley 85253 Kingsnake, Kingsnake The homeowner had a king snake removed from her backyard a few days ago, which was stuck in some bird netting. Then today she had another one stuck. It ended up being two king snakes both tangled in the bird netting. I was able to free them both with minor scale damage but after a few sheds, they will be like new. I think the snakes may have been going to the garden for the water. She also had a shed nearby with baby bunnies under it. She was cool enough to let the snakes stay in the back yard and when we released them in the pack rat nest a rat did come out. Which is why she wanted to keep the snakes. The home was right next to a golf course.

Paradise Valley 85253 Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnake The homeowner called us to relocate a Speckled Rattlesnake that had already been put into a bucket by staff on site. This was a large property high up on Camelback Mountain. There were several acers covered in dense, green landscaping, including a small forest worth of mature trees. The mountain surrounding the property was made of large boulders and rock structures, perfect for the species. I found another Speckled Rattlesnake while relocating the first one not far from the home, which reinforced that I was in an appropriate location.

Paradise Valley 85253 Western Diamondback Rattlesnake The FedEx driver saw the rattlesnake out by the road by their house. It moved into a nearby bush they had out front. That’s where I caught it just coiled underneath. The home had a big yard with a lot of well-watered vegetation. The mountain preserve was across the street.

Oro Valley 85737 Nine Customer had rattlesnake on back porch night before. Unfortunately husband killed. Customer wanted steps to securing backyard and going forward in preventative measures. Right off the bat the gates area had gaps making it easy for any rattlesnake to get through of any size. Also on other side of property holes were found in bottom of wall for drainage to go through. Customer only had one bush that would be suitable hiding habitat. She said it will be removed. Also explained that her pool equipment was a very possible area for another encounter because of the spaces for hiding and also a tree sat above it creating a shady area. It was also discussed that all dog feces be picked up immediately so that various rodent species do not utilize it for a food source. I also found a rodent hole leading underneath the air conditioner. I utilized a garden in an attempt to flood any remaining snakes in hiding. Nothing was found. End of report.

Oro Valley 85737 None Customer wanted advice on how to reduce rattlesnakes around his property and especially common areas near home. The house was on 3 1/2 acres with large rock piles going around entire home area and also a wash running through yard. I told him that the outside of fence area would not be possible to control the snakes Because it was very open. Common area had wall around majority. Some areas were very low to rock pile making it and access point for snake movement into common area. Along with front gate only having about 12 inches of protection. I did find some slight rodent activity and recommended pest control services be utilized. I did find a coachwhip snake skin that was fairly fresh. The skin was found near a very large cave like rock area that I flooded with garden hose in anticipation for activity. No finds. End of report.

Oro Valley 85737 Sonoran Gophersnake Customers had seen longnosed snake previously the night before. This morning they also had a snake that they were not sure how to describe near air conditioner. When I arrived I examined all bushes in backyard. I was able to find a large gophersnake under a fake bridge that was very old and dead. I then inspected area the longnose was last seen. It was a large cactus area with old traces of packrat nest inside of it. The customers were not moved in yet so I was unabl to use garden hose. I dug in certain areas to if anything would come out. Nothing did. I gave customers advice to get in touch with rodent control to assist with the rodents on property. I also gave advice to trim the plants upwards to reduce the amount of shade underneath. End of report.

Oro Valley 85737 None Customer called about inspection being completed at 2 storage facilities. This first one had found a young rattlesnake inside of building near one of the side entrances under a cart. When I arrived I did a perimeter check for any active snakes. None were found. On the outside I noticed the main plant were lantanas. Lantanas are a common area for rattlesnakes to be found. It was recommended that the plants be removed and a less shady plant be used instead. 3 separate retractable doors were also an issue. Under all of them was a minimum gap of 1/2-3/4 inch gap. Which is more then likely where the young rattlesnake entered from a month back. It was also discussed to continue having pest control out to keep rodent populations down. Behind building near the wash was a pile of rocks near garbage bins. They were not being used and just sitting there creating a good hiding area for a rattlesnake. It was also mentioned that they should fill in gaps underneath large boulders and to ensure drip systems were in good working condition and not letting out excess water. They had recently done some brush clearing behind building. That was a great step in reducing shade. There was 1 exit door that was not of immediate concern, but the weather stripping was beginning to create a gap. End of report.

Oro Valley 85737 None Several snakes seen on the property over the last several weeks. Several sound like kings while another was probably a gopher snake, but the Fire Dept. has also removed several Western Diamondbacks. There is some existing fencing, however it is a half inch mesh and is not the sturdy material that we use. It is my belief that the play areas can be made safe from serpent intruders, but it is an extensive job. Please call to set up a day and time for the fencing estimate. They will send it up to corporate for approval.
