When I arrived snake remained in same place without any movement. I immediately captured the snake utilizing my tongs. Once snake was placed in bucket safely I scanned the rest of yard. I’m not sure how but the snake crawled up into his jeep underneath. The guy couldn’t get it out so he just drove away. Today while at work and hour away from castle hot springs road and sort of in the city the snake decided to crawl out. The guy didn’t want to pay and said he was just going to cut the snakes head off. I didn’t want that to happen so I went and got it.

2021-09-18 9:30 AM	Sedona	86336	Blacktailed Rattlesnake	Received a call that a rattlesnake had been captured and placed in a snap top bucket by a neighbor. After driving to the location I learned the homeowner had put some small breathing holes in the lid of the bucket. Upon safely removing the lid the species was determined to be a Blacktailed Rattlesnake. Shortly thereafter the snake was relocated further along the same mountain the homeowners property resided under a concealed rocky overhang. Increased activity due to recent monsoon rains could potentially explain the snakes presence.

This is smack dab in the middle of the city nothing but businesses and concrete. There is no desert for 20 miles. I think the snake must have got up into a vehicle or hitched a ride on something and came out while the vehicle was parked.
