1 Default warranty period will be active unless otherwise specified in the project estimate.

2 Modifications or damage to installation or materials by additional parties may void warranties. Damage caused by factors unrelated to installation methods and materials including but not limited to severe weather, falling branches, flooding, rodent or animal or pet-caused damage, or erosion outside of the original condition of the property to which rattlesnake fencing has been installed, may incur additional repair fees.

3 A fee will apply to removal requests for non-venomous snakes or any species found in areas of the property not protected by rattlesnake fencing.

4 All warranty coverage applies to the property to which it is installed and does not transfer to additional properties upon change of ownership, lease, or sale.

5 Changes to original design required by homeowners associations or other third party entity which affect intended functionality may void warranty.

Please note the following exceptions:

Gate settling may occur. Some gates may adjust slightly due to additional weight of installed materials. If a gate begins to drag or becomes difficult to close, please contact customer service to request an adjustment. Gate adjustments that are determined to be due to installation of Rattlesnake Fence materials are covered by Installation Warranty while coverage is active.

Hairline cracks in curbs may be present after concrete has cured, especially if installed over pavers or uneven surfaces. This is normal and does not indicate an issue with functionality of rattlesnake prevention. In instances where cracks are excessive or affect the structure or function of the installation, please consult with your Rattlesnake Solutions representative.

Rattlesnake Fencing Check-Up Recommended

We recommend scheduling a professional inspection performed on a yearly basis, usually in the early Spring before rattlesnake activity picks up. Ask about our Rattlesnake Fencing Check-Up service to find and repair any potential problems, search the property for snakes, and renew your warranties.

Important Care and Maintenance Information

Your new rattlesnake fencing was built using durable materials with longevity in mind. However, erosion, rodents, and other events could diminish its effectiveness over time without proper care and maintenance. Here are suggestions to ensure that it continues to perform as intended.

1. Do Not Prop Gate Open

Please do not prop the gate(s) open unless absolutely necessary. This may be the most critical aspect of keeping the property protected now that gates are designed to act as a barrier to rattlesnakes. This often means communicating with contractors (landscapers, pool service, pest control) to ensure your gates are not being propped open for extended periods of time. Not only will propping the gate leave a large area for possible entry, but items used as door props (pavers, rocks, etc) can cause damage to the gate. Lastly, remember that if a rattlesnake gets in through a propped gate and the gate is then shut, it will become trapped within the yard..

2. Refrain From Slamming The Gate

Slamming the gate can not only cause damage to the added rattlesnake fence materials, but will also increase the likelihood of damage to critical gate components, like hinges and latches. This can cause the gate to work improperly by rubbing, jamming, not opening or closing properly as well as possibly creating a gap large enough to allow a rattlesnake to get in. Make sure you close the gate with care, and always visually confirm it is completely latched.

3. Keep Gates Clear of Debris

Be sure to keep the area under and around gates clear of debris. Things like rocks and gravel or landscaping debris can cause damage to the gate, the installed materials, or the concrete threshold (if applicable on your property). Rocks can bend the steel over time and create cracks in concrete, and in some cases alter gate alignment – all of which could cause a gap larger than 1/4 inch or affect gate function.

4. Periodically Review Your Fencing

We encourage all of our customers to visually inspect your gates and fencing on a regular basis. It is most important to conduct a review after weather events, like heavy monsoon rain, increased foot traffic on the property, landscaper activity, or if you have large dogs that may jump against the fence. Remember: if a ballpoint pen can fit through a gap easily (without force), it is large enough for a rattlesnake to pass through and should be addressed.

5. Rattlesnake Fencing Check-Up Yearly

We strongly recommend scheduling a professional inspection performed on a yearly basis, usually in the early Spring before rattlesnake activity picks up. Ask about our Rattlesnake Fencing Check-Up service to find and repair any potential problems, search the property for snakes, and renew your warranties.
